What have you done to your MS3 today?

Rotated the tires and preped to go to the drag stip tomorrow morning.
First run with new TRZ Tranz mount and Cobb AP pro tune (at P&L motor sports)

Coming home from work today and a STI tried to show off to me by letting me here his BOV like I don't know what that sounds like..... We'll it failed cause his car backfired and sputtered which made him look like an idiot lol.

Finished a 3-hour install for the PG TIP and Cobb SRI!

Proud of myself for doing this as i never did something like it before. All i did was my Forge BPV which is pretty easy.

No major problems, just one broken white ECU clip that i put too much force to it, but no biggie. Also had a little issue getting that TIP inside the reducer. I put the reducer into the turbo first (like it's in the HOW-to section), tighten the 10mm bolt up top but its a pain getting the inlet in there because of a hose going into the firewall. I managed, not very pretty but the clamp is pretty tight and the pipe is well inside.

Added one shim to my blue spring and it's pinging like crazy. Slow acceleration and i feel it's holding boost pretty well, need to check with a future Dashawk though. And oh yeah, more Powar! Resisting temptation to not floor it for the first 100 miles. Woot!

Pics, sorry i just had the cellphone lol

Feel free to post if you see something wrong!

so are the gains of a TIP minimal when accompanied to an existing aftermarket intake like a cai or sri?

i understand the improved turbo spool response due to less restrictive plumbing, but if i decide to do this as a next power mod i want to be able to sense some sort of difference.

im not one to take it all the way up to peak hp all the time but i do utilize the low end torque during situations like merging into traffic. i would think that lower rpms would be where the TIP really helps out the most

Noticed a much better turbo spool-up, better accelaration and with that, power comes up at a lower RPM than before.

I think what you gain by the TIP is: smoother power band, better turbo spool-up, smoother acceleration, and cooler air temps.

Not really a power mod but free things up for the intake, BPV, and turbo.
