What have you done to your Miata today?

Got to use my shiny new FM hub stands that arrived in the mail today. Was about 1 hour to align the front axle having never aligned a Miata before, with a friend sitting behind the wheel for weight and adjusting caster. I am very impressed with them, very easy to use. I would highly recommend them if you can spare the coin.

Thanks guys. I was definitely going for "unique." Also "inexpensive." Since my auto-body guy just used paint leftovers I only paid for labor. My hardtop got painted matte black too.

I like how polarizing it is and watching people mouth "what the fu!k" as I drive by.

should have come to the hill climb sat! would have loved to have another miata there!

In the past couple of days I've bought a set of satin black vent rings and a used TopLoc. Already have gloss black rings but I figure the satin will match my style better. The TopLoc is so if/when the wife uses the hard top while I'm gone again, it will have some measure of security (no way do I expect her to install the Spec Miata side plates). Just about two months to go until I can do more than that.

For those of you who don't know, I'm dealing with some family issues, nothing serious just annoying so I'm having to take to measures. The MSP and MSM are up for sale, I'm waiting to hear back on the MSP but if it falls through I'll be taking offers. The MSM will be on craigslist shortly. If anybody is interested let me know.

I'm keeping the truck for now since its almost paid off, I have plans for other vehicle(s) once this situation is resolved. Could be later this year, or in the spring.

Sorry to hear man, hang in there!

Finally got everything sorted out with the oil cooler. Found an STP filter that fit every requirement, and is a nice big filter upgrade to boot!

The kit:

I also added two 3/8 FIP/MIP elbows to turn the barbed fittings 90deg.

Sandwich plate clamped in place on the block with barbed elbows:

A little context on the location:

Oil cooler core attached to the radiator. It's very nearly as wide as the radiator itself! Should cool quite nicely. I'm not too worried about taking cooling efficiency away from the radiator, the oil will still be removing heat quite well.

This is the monster filter installed. I had to slide it under the front bumper just to get it into position!

Between the cooler, and getting a legit oil pressure sender installed, the oiling system is pretty well sorted out! Another big step done.

Bought a new set of wheels, Konig Flatouts in 15 X 8. Supposed to be lighter than the 7.5 Lightspeeds I have now. Just have to decided if I'll stay with 205s or go to a 225 tire.

I've been driving mine as usual, kinda glad I haven't had any interested buyers. I love this car, looking forward to washing her tomorrow after 1 month...

Clutch-Replacement.jpg

Replaced my Clutch, did all the seals, new heater hoses, and CAS gasket last night.

Tonight I have to go back through and make sure everything is still tight specifically on the exhaust, I hear it leaking.

Drove mine yesterday and today for the first time in a while. Just found out that my wheels will be done soon, so hopefully I'll be able to mount the new tires and get them on the car quickly.
