What have you done to your Miata today?

I agree. I just gotta get the R package front lip to even things out.

I drove mine back home to Florida for the weekend. I'm visiting my mom for her 50th b-day. I had a random misfire issue on the way down, but I stopped to go to the bathroom and when I got back on the road it never came back.

Oh yeah.... 5+ hrs of driving with top down.

Washed her in the chill morning air. Trying to get feeling back into my fingertips now.

i did this:

He was hunting for dinner with the car. They are known to do that down South.

Thanks psyco. Today, I pulled the eyeball vents (used the stiff plastic method, I cut up a cone of shame from one of the dogs). That was the easy part, went to disassemble the first one and it put up quite a fight. Finally got it apart, stripped out the tape a previous owner used and spent about 20 minutes trying to get the glue residue off. Then I found out the felt discs I bought are too thick. So back to the drawing board, put them all back in for now. Also did the prep work for autocross tomorrow.

Cool. So yesterday my friend from our local meet and I painted my wheels. Pics will come later.

Dam. Well now you can say your miata kills. ;)

anit theft ghillie suits for le car, that should make millions. ;)

that color wheel is by no means original or anything on a Mx-5 with that color soft top. But I felt that that softtop color looks kinda lame without goldish/ bronze wheels.

Autocrossed her. Lots of fun despite only getting 4 runs. We had 87 people, including a bunch of Saabs from the local club.

Replaced the felt on two of my eyeball vents, and installed revlimiter rings on them. I got info on some felt available from Jo-Ann Fabrics, but couldn't find it at my local store so ended up going to Hobby Lobby instead. Stuff is blue but no one will be able to see it. The vents work much better now, smooth motion throughout the range and no flopping. Waiting on the wife to get home so I can do the other two.

So what you're telling me is you need your wife to help you work on your two balls?

So after this past weekend of driving the Miata to and from Florida, I realize two things. I either need to.......

1.) Need to stop being paranoid about being at 4k RPM at 80mph (GPS says 75, but whatever)
2.) Install a set of 3.636 gears in the rear end.

I am also debating on doing a Hydra-ectomy and putting the stock ECU in, but then I notice my 30+ MPG on a 200+ whp MSM. lol screw being stock!

4k cruising is perfectly fine in a Miata. Redline is 7100, use it and use it often ;)
