What have you done to your Miata today?

In the process of replacing sway bar end links, bump stops, and springs (all FM gear) and my driver's side control arm end link mount bracket decided it was going to break. A friend of mine is machining a new one today that I will weld on tomorrow. I think he might even be making 4 of them, so I can replace all of them. Yay for ProtoTRAK CNC mills!

In fairness, making a pair of brackets out of flat stock would probably take less time. But if you've got the resources, why the hell not right? lol

Hehe, exactly. Folding replacements from sheet was the first thought. The problem is that both my buddy and I only have press-brakes at our respective work places. Without custom tooling press brakes can't make u-channel that is deeper than it is wide, as the sway bar brackets are. So CNC it is!

doo eet!

for those of you with torsen LSD, how often do you change the oil for it? I don't have an owners Manuel for this car so I am not sure. A friend was recommending every 15k. does that sound right?
I checked the torsen website and miata.net faqs and other parts of the website for info but didn't find what I was looking for. I found some recommended oils which is helpful but not how often it should be changed.

Haha. I'd be close to you Bruce if I wasn't out of country for 4 months last year.

Got home last night. Removed my oil filter relocation kit today (due to a leaking hose). Took my stepdaughter to work, had a blast despite the car being dirty and the tires needing air.

Welcome home!

Last night, I drove it to a wedding that I was in, and it assisted in me getting the phone number of a cute redhead. Win.

Thanks Phen, and way to go!

Installed my KG Works gauge bezel along with the AWD needle caps. Replaced my gauge hood and turn signal/wiper stalk assembly due to some annoying (to me) defects in the originals. Finally, checked my tire pressure and they were fine. So, what caused the skittishness? I wasn't getting on it that much. Could be something to do with it sitting for months I suppose, I'll see how it feels later when I go out.
