What have you done to your Miata today?

The NA may be different, but I kinda doubt it. There really is no secure place in a Miata. LOL.

true. . . lol

Might start machinging delrin plugs for my trunk till I can get a new one to seal up teh holes

lol. My locked and windows all functioned in the Jeep, and yes, it WAS a Cherokee!

oh, and i found a yellow button inside the center console. . . . not sure what it goes to yet. . .

Passenger ejector seat!!!

i'll get a pic and post it tonight.

Gonna have to find out where the wires go to

Congrats.

I changed spark plugs and no struggling to boost...back to when I enjoyed driving this car.

Also just removed the nightshades from the headlights, already silverstar ultra sealed beams, and removed nightshade off one taillight, looks like crap so new tails in order now

also got the stereo workin afaisn. Kid had trashed wire nuts holding the speakerwire.

Found out what my yellow button in the armrest was, has a trunk release, just not connected. Also found a trunk light in there not working yet

Havent done much to mine yet.

Removed the sun visors
removed the plastic wood grain from around tweeters

Looking to boost it in the spring (see how the winter goes)
Would love to do the LS1 swap

hopefully putting the new steering wheel in tonight

just for my ref. lol I'll remove this soon as i do it tonight
I did it with only disconnecting battery and letting i sit for a few minutes, no issues..but at ur own risk obviously

1-lock the wheel in place

2-4 bolts hold the airbag in place and are easily accessible from behind the wheel (i believe 10mm)...remove them

3-pull airbag out far as you can, and disconnect the harness connectors. You'll see 2 connectors (orange= horn, blue = bag) going into one big blue one.

4-remove nut that holds the wheel on (believe 21mm, and make sure you eat your wheaties)

5-pull the wheel off (need to pull from side to side to break it loose--again wheaties)

you'll need to move the wheel to get the nuts for the airbag off. Also, if you don't have an impact gun, good luck. Another tip: don't take the nut off all the way, just back it 90% of the way off. You'll more than likely need to wrestle pretty hard with the steering wheel to un-stick it. Keeping the nut on the end of the steering column will help ensure you don't punch yourself in the face with the wheel when it finally comes loose.

Good idea. . . . .

Now just gotta figure how to disable the airbag since i'm going to an aluminum 3 spoke w/o an airbag.

Kansei says don't install it, but, my current wheel looks like crap and i really am not worried about a Nardi or Momo wheel

Thoughts on this? It was free so i can't complain
