What have you done to your Miata today?

Nice work Maff! If you ever decide to move up North you could make a lot of money replacing rusty body panels. lol

Vent windows were on my list for the NB. And I just saw over on m.net that Rev9 has a blue rear view mirror for the NA/NB. I'd love to have one to match the blue side mirrors.

Over the weekend I washed and waxed her and changed her oil. Have to say that getting to the oil filter is much easier but I still made a mess and even with using a one gallon ziplock bag to catch the oil. I guess I have to work on my form. While at AZ to buy oil and cleaning supplies I spied some Rhino Ramps and figured I'd try them out. Would love to have some Race Ramps but for $55.... It was so nice driving the car up on ramps vs. jacking it up and placing jack stands.

Can't use ramps on mine, too low. I jack it up and use stands. Yes Jeff, the oil filter is a pita.

NICE! i ordered the Miata Roadster vent windows as the vent sits higher up and i felt they would be better for directing air towards me. not looking forward to the install though

I'm not sure why Miata Roadster placed their vent so high up. It looks a little off to me. The Project G ones work just fine, you have to remember you can rotate the inserts to put the air wherever you want. Add those to a Cool Breeze Scoop and you get all kinds of air moving in the cabin (although that doesn't stop my wife from running the A/C anyway!).

Like Mark said, go with Race Ramps or use some 2x4s. That's what I used with the Rhino Ramps to get the P5 up and on them.

or you can go baller.... http://www.quickjack.com/
they arent cheap (~$1000) but after using them at a friend of mines place, i was sold. hooks to the battery of the car OR you can get a plug for a wall outlet. I personally like the idea of the battery then you can use it anywhere at any time like a race track haha. below is a pic using the quickjack while doing my rear diff bushings.

i installed a new Radiator in the msm on saturday

As long as you got an OEM MSM rad and not an OEM miata rad, you'll be a happy camper. Some poor folks got a regular miata rad and it ended badly as it's much smaller and can't keep up with the turbo fun.

Race ramps would work bruce!

While I like both, neither fit in my motorhome.

I'm fortunate, I have both! Just got a new piston, the one that came with one of the lifts was trash, it would go up but not come down

Goddamn I want a quickjack so, so, SO hard. $1000 is super hard to justify though for "does the same thing as a $60 jack and $50 jackstands."

Right there with you Maff. Id love to buy one as well. True it does the same job but so much easier for us old guys. Haha

Bruce not sure about the race ramps but you can nest the rhino ramps so they dont take up as much space. Secure them in the ps seat of Mia during your travel?

i bet the quick jacks would slide right under a bed somewhere in the motorhome haha...

and yes maff they "do the same thing as a $60 jack and $50 jackstands." but with that same argument i could say why spend all that money on building a race car when a stock one does the same thing...

Eh, not really. There's a lot of stuff a stock car can do that my race car can't. Talk about spending money for less capability (rlaugh)

But Maff, you can say "because racecar!" lol

Sent an email off to Rev9 late yesterday inquiring about the blue tinted mirror for the NC. They responded that Tuckin99 does in fact make one and sent me a link to order it. :)

Did not know that Jeff but the jack and stands work for me.

No storage under the bed, it's a matter of limited space and they take up too much space.

Got home last night, the wife and I went to a B&B for a little alone time. (cabpatch)

When I got to the house this morning I said hello to the grandkids and animals, then went on my treasure hunt. Found everything I had bought without too much searching. After some relaxing I dove into things. First I installed the Garage Star door blocks, there's already been enough pictures of those. Mine went on without any trouble, although the passenger door doesn't want to close without a big heave (driver's door is fine). I will see how it is after some use and then adjust if necessary.

I opened the CAN bus wideband interface and did some research on installing it. I removed the wiring harness between the MS and the factory harness where I'm going to install it but the wine kicked in and I decided to wait on that bit until tomorrow.

Finally, I removed these:

And installed these:

These were what I got from revlimiter. Adam does great work. And now she officially has her name.

Thanks Mark! It was my idea, but rev's execution is spot on. I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but apparently the Miata is not any sort of script, just a bunch of shapes. He had to basically do everything but the M and the i by hand. I love it, and Robyn even thinks it's cool.

Up early this morning (as per usual when I first get home), I decided to go ahead and install my CAN wideband interface. Unfortunately it isn't going to be simple. The instructions specify which wires to connect to without telling which pins they are. I found that information elsewhere, but only references to one DB37 connector. My MS2 has two connectors, and neither one has wires on all the pins that are mentioned. I've just sent a message to MS Labs asking for guidance.
