Not done today but this weekend, got the motor pulled, broke down the bottom end and replaced the worn and damaged rod bearings, have the crank a little polishing for the new bearings and came up with a large list of parts to buy to hopefully get the MSM back on the road soon. I'll work on starting a build thread this evening in case any of you want to follow the progress

Picked her up from the shop, ended up with:
Castor: 6 left and right
Camber: -2.3 front, -2.4 RL, -2.5 RR
Toe: 1/32 out front, 1/32 in rear
Ride height: supposed to be set for my weight
She feels very light and agile, caught me off guard avoiding debris on the freeway, turned quicker than I expected.

ordered a new clutch (FM Level 2 Happy Meal Clutch) Ordered a new CLutch Slave Cylinder, New braided SS CLutch line, Proper mounting kit for my Rollbar, new Rad/Coolant and Heater Core Hoses as most of them were all bubbling out at connections. bought a few other things as well but i didnt want to sit here posting everything haha.. hopefully i can find some time in the next couple weeks to get her back on the road in time for Phens Cookout on Labor Day Weekend

Installed the frog arms on Saturday, a few bolts broke which is somewhat expected but Evan helped me out, only 1 remained broken. The car doesn't shake as much on the road, you can feel the suspension doing all the work. The autox yesterday went much better, kept understeering in 1 corner but that was my fault for not helping the car rotate (gotta work on that). Really like how it drives now, and no matter how much Tim bugs me I'm not buying his monster miata.

Sometimes I need s*** to do on the weekend when I am in town and helping a friend wrench is what I would go for.
I have noticed a few things though.. The "NB shimmy" is almost totally gone with the hardtop. My car didn't come with the HT, so I don't have the side latches installed. However, the car is solid and feels more complete with the top on.
It really feels like this car should have had a hardtop from the factory.
That's sure a nice garage!
Managed to score a BNIB Mazdaspeed intake cam. Saved about $60 over buying it from a vendor (I love when people change their minds). It will be going on the reworked head whenever I get around to installing it.

Hard top looks good Chris and bonus that it helped the NB shimmy.
Couple of weeks ago I replaced the radiator and t-stat, Saturday I restored the headlights and then Sunday I met up with the local Miata club and went on a nice 90 mile run. At the end of the day it would have been a 6 mile trip via the highway from our starting point to our destination. In two weeks we are doing a Pocono run which is around 125 miles. I'll have the DZ102s mounted by then, let's see how well they grip over the SC2's.
