owning a dark colored car = a curse & blessing all rolled into one neat package!!
i feel ya, we had insane winds the last couple days. THE day after i wash my car, its matted with all sorts of dust, pollen, bugs, etc.
I have the same problem... its so bad that I'm pretty sure I waxed in some pollen... even though I waxed right after washing.(alright) Do it Steve!!!.. (drinks)
man the pollen is bad around here.. washed the car.. doesnt look like i did though..

Installed the jbarone short shift plate. what a pain in the ass. I am cursed when it comes to mechanical stuff. I had no internet at the time so I couldn't find any instructions to get the stock airbox off until I got frustrated, tried yanking it off and it came off (felt dumb there...). Then it took me forever to get the damn shift cable off the ball joint (It took a looooot more force than I was comfortable with). Next misfortune was losing my only 6 point 1/4" 12mm socket down in the cowling, so I had to take the cowling off, and later when I was putting the battery tray back in I lost one of those screws (still havent found it... the cowling donated a screw to the tray) and noticed that the positive terminal cable is still loose on the terminal even with the nut fully tightened... and the brace across the top of the tray isn't actually holding down the battery... so idk what the deal with that one is. A supposedly easy install took me 2.5 hours to do, with lots of swearing, sweating, bashed knuckles, and frustration. I love the new shift feel... can't wait to install the solid bushings!
last time I did anything to a car was my 3... trying to get the stupid AC belt on. Why they chose to give it a separate belt for the AC compressor without a tensioner is beyond me. Was stuck under the car for 3 hours, swearing and moaning because to get the belt on I actually unmounted the compressor to give it slack. couldnt get it back on for the life of me...eventually gave up and was going to have a shop do it, but with winter fast approaching, I let it slide. I eventually fixed it... by selling the car to buy my MS6! somehow I lost an english socket in that fury.. dont know how, everything is metric on these cars.welcome to the world of modding.. lol i cant count how many times ive sworn at the car, threw a wrench out the garage, busted my knuckles ( although thats stopped since ive started using gloves) and all that good stuff.. 2.5 hours isnt bad for your first time modding this car..glad you like it!!!
took a few pics after dark:

Broke up with the g/f today, so I'm getting the itch to place the order for the GT. Think of it as redemption.
Sorry you're going through that...though hopefully it means a brighter future.
Never make a big decision on something when other emotions are swaying you, you almost never get what you really wanted because you just want to make a change and hurry up to buy something. Get something smaller...I picked up the iPhone when I went through a similar event. Or, wait until you're exactly clear on what you want to get.
After all, if you fubar your Mustang purchase because you feel an itch after ending the relationship, then that's a win for her, and you wouldn't want that.
OEM's are 24, so it's not THAT heavy. I wouldn't be surprised if his 18's are a bit lighter than that.
