What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

Have been trying to decide on wheels for my car for the past week.. Found some but unsure if they will fit. Hopefully I can get my taxes filed and my check in the mail soon so I can drop the green on some new shoes.

Oh and I put my stock parts back on because I have to go to the delearship this week for a possible new turbo. Yippie!

Decided to get a two-tone paint job so it matches my leather.

Just got the car back after having a new K04 put in. Had my Cobb turbo inlet installed at the same time. Thank god Im out of the rental!

Need to get new brake pads and rotors. I am looking at Hawk HPS or Rotora H2 Ceramic. Any recommendations? For rotors, I'm looking for
PowerSlot/StopTech. Any experience with these? Dealer is looking for $900 total but I can lower that significantly with ordering the parts myself.

I ordered Hawk HPS pads and StopTech rotors for under $400. They were just shipped at 2 PM today. Now I just need to decide where to get them installed. I have a few places I can go: local dealer, a few national tire installers, or one local performance shop. I may be able to have a mechanic friend do them.

That is an excellent price for brand-name rotors and pads. Where did you pick them up?

If you're comfortable doing car stuff yourself, rotors and pads are very simple to do. Otherwise, I'd get your mechanic friend to do them. It shouldn't take him more than a couple hours.

As for me, I didn't do anything to the MS6 today other than get a much-needed wash. I caught a glimpse of the car in a shop window as I was driving by... This sure is one good lookin' ride.

I was going to get the rotors from RPM and then the pads from MAPerformance. However, I had another vendor (who shall remain nameless as not approved here) match the price of each. Dealer wanted $601 in just parts. I could probably do them but I have no space right now or the needed tools. 13 degrees outside is not my idea of fun. I hoping for my mechanic friend to install if he has the place and time. I'd rather give him the money. I'm going to check prices for the other places. I am glad I got them for a better price. I knew I needed pads so I had a place in mind. I was on the WiFi at the dealer looking for deals and discovered that I could get rotors as well. The fronts were already shipped today!

I did get my oil changed today as well.

wtf. Since when is there a carbon fiber roof wing??

AIT makes it.. AIT DSR carbon roof wing. It says mazda6 02-06 or something or other But it fits Mazdaspeed 6 as well. If you want I have link to where I got it PM me. I got it for like 238-250 including Shipping. You have to get your own Automotive 3m tape to install it though :).. Its the rear roof. Right where the rear window meets the roof it fits on the glass of the rear window right there.
