What have you done to your Mazda6 today?

holy s*** i had a tercel.. ******* loved that little car.. the rear shocks were so bad on it that we could make it bounce and the rear wheels would get 6+inches off the ground LOL's.. thats ******* awesome..

Jay, if you know the company that the truck is from, I'd contact them and see if they'll reimburse you for damages caused by their vehicle. I've heard mixed results, but it's worth a shot.

MS6 = Rare car. Not gonna sell it...I'll get another car before I go out and just sell it on a whim lol.

I'm not going anywhere, plan on keeping my speed for quite awhile.
I know I haven't contributed much to this forum mostly in part to my lack of experience in the tuning department but I have done my fair share of bolt-on on mine and other 6s locally so could add a bit of knowledge in that department.

As for what I've done to my 6 lately...
This past Sunday I added a corksport TIP, swapped out my mazdaspeed CAI for a Cobb SRI and swapped my headlight bulbs for 6000k ddm bulbs as well as converted the foglights to 6000k ddm slim ballast hid kit.

I'm very pleased with
The added throttle response and quicker spool time of the Tip and the upgraded lighting :)

For those of you waiting for a pic of my shifter/shift assembly, sorry I haven't posted it yet. I'll have it up tomorrow. I also have the stock 2nd cat and stock swaybar if anyone is interested.

Sounds good Steve,
If there is more than just myself interested, just letme know if it's my turn in line and I'll most likely take it pending price.

I disagree. You can daily drive a tuned/bolted MS6 and enjoy it. Unfortunately, there aren't many parts for it, and it's on a dead platform. No reason you can't throw a good suspension on there, intake, inlet, DP, exhaust, upgrade the IC, and tune it and beat it every day.

Exactly, that is my plan. One step at a time.

Taylor, any word on when you'll be selling the MS6? Someone local up here might be interested.

I can pm you my cell phone number if you know they are interested. As soon as I get some days free I will be taking pics and have it up in the far sale section, craigslist, and autotrader. Im aiming for next weekend.

I think people took my comment a bit out of proportion, but to be honest I should just stop hanging out with my friends who have STI's lol.

EDIT: I'll probably end up keeping my car for now, but definetly somewhere down the road I plan on building something RWD only for the track :)

The vette finally met the speed6. :D After driving this beast for 2 days now I have no regrets comming from the speed6. I LOVE driving this car. I love everything about it and am still learning new features about it. I drove home tonight from work around midnight with the top off and the moon light shinning in the car with air blowing through my hair enjoying the sound of the v8. Just an awesome car. I really havent gotten down on the throttle too much as its faster than the 6 even at half throttle. I did try it on the way home. I was running 50 and dropped it into 2nd and floored it. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is all I have to say.

Getting up in the morning to put the twin cold air intake and larger pipe before the throttle body back on. I am still researching trying to find a good tuning device for this car with the given mods. I need to clean the MAF since the car about dies the first 10 seconds of start up. unless the stock airbox is just choking it.

Been looking at lowering kits. You can lower the car 1" by the stock bolts. Eibach makes a 2" drop kit for 60 bucks. Amazing right?

If you're interested, a good friend of mine tunes LS engines across the nation. He can do it remotely and is pretty damn good at it. PM me if you're interested and I'll get you his contact information.

i think it has a clutch pedal.. or that could be the break idk but i think theres a gas pedal all the way in the right

Sounds good. I need to find out why the car wants to die when you first start it up. you have to give it gas and hold the rpm up for about 5-10 seconds so it doesnt stall. This is the only major issue with the car. Since I dont know exactly what motor work was done to the car it is hard to diagnose it. I am not getting any CEL lights or codes comming up. I did notice while putting on the intake today that some1 had drilled about a 1/4" hole in the center of the bottom half of the throttle plate. Also the intake that was on the car had a threaded hole in the side of it. The MAF is an aftermarket piece. It was dirty co I cleaned it. It started up the first time and didnt stall. Everytime after that it is now stalling. Its just as if like a carberated motor floods out it starts like that.

I took out the yellow grill inserts this morning and so badges on the side to clean things up. Nothing new to the 6. Its just chillin in the driveway.

vrspeedemon- Its a 6 speed manual!

Hopefully things work out Taylor. Interested to see how it turns out. The interior needs some work, but I'm sure you'll do it right.
