Added mini amp - buzz. Doh, forgot I need a LOC b/c I'm using stock HU (I usually don't keep stock HU). The, pop on startup and pop on shutdown. Dammit, need a delay timer... Uggg...

But the stock speakers are actually hitting hard and ratting! and the tweeter are actually very high and crisp! :) Not bad for $30 amp + $8 LOC (still need the $3-5 delay timer).

And while I was at it, made a useful pocket where the tape deck would have been. Also, added connections for external Bluetooth device, still need to mount.

Thanks for the pics, 90210! How did it work out and how does it drive now?

Edit: Nevermind, there is a separate thread...

Oh man, you can tell that your car is in California. The underside of mine is brown and orange with rust everywhere, haha.

Just installed an injen cold air intake on my 2010. Originally made for a mazda3 with a 2.3. Overall happy that I was able to install it, but figment wasn't the greatest.. but whatever's...

Headlights were getting some yellow discoloration so I bought one of those $5 kits at Autozone and cleaned them up. Worked pretty well.

Couldn't resist the Discount tire discount of $100 plus the Continental $70 discount.

Went to 215/45/18, down from 225/45/18.

Sadly more wheel gap now. But wanted lighter.

Keep me updated on how long this lasts before you have to do another application. Im looking to maybe do this soon to my '10. Its starting to yellow across the tops.

I literally just bought my 2010 Mazda 5 3 days ago. Best purchase ever a 3rd row with a Manual. And yes I've got plans for it haha. Started a shopping list for mods. I drove it around still getting used to the clutch but overall an amazing miniminivan.

Just got my new to me 2014 M5 Sport last week. Was replacing my 2009 M5 GT that was totaled when a reckless driver plowed into my passenger front side. =(

The previous owner of the 2014 M5 was not kind to it internally, back of 2nd row seat burned, small cigarette burn in 3rd row bench.
So far I've scrubbed down the front row to not feel grimy (the whole thing needs a thorough detail/steam cleaning, and found that the dirver side 2nd row seat seat pull tab is ripped off/missing, so I can't fold the seat.

I threw a pair of new Sumitomo all season tires onto 2 days ago, had them on my 2009 and they worked well through nasty weather. Changed the driver side windshield wiper with a high performance one by Windex.
Also, added a BTC480 to have bluetooth going. Why the sport model doesn't have built in BT baffles me, as my wife's 2011 CX-7 has it built in. Oh well, the $20 was easy to part with, now I can stream Spotify, which my 2009 BT couldn't.

I have a roof rack on the way, adding that next, then a full pro detailing job. After that, I'm considering replacing the 2 damaged 2nd row seats. Also need to bring in for a 75k checkup and have the mechanic give me a list of future repairs that should be addressed this year. Time to give this ride the TLC it deserves. =)

Went to town, shopping.

Clutch is on it's way out. Friend (Volvo nut) agreed to help out and will let me use his lift.
Will probably drag it out over two Saturdays. One for removal & cleaning, one for putting it all together.

ACT Heavy Duty clutch
Redline trans fluid
Will also do the swaybar bushings in front
Will change adapter for oil filter to use spin-on filters
Started looking around for taller 5th gear options. Might get a diesel 5th gear from Germany, or get an Escort 5th from ... any JY.

Done with the clutch.
Touched:
Changed gear oil, new clutch, new TOB
New swaybar bushings (stainless brackets with poly bushings, beefy! From JBR), new Axle seals

Work was stretched out over two weeks - one Saturday morning for disassembly and inspection, another Sat 10am-5pm assembly, beer & blah. More parts orders and flywheel resurface in between.
The oil filter adapter is still somewhere in the mail...

Taking out the axles was a pain. Took a huge puller (clamped to brake discs), some heat and penetrating oil to pop them out. Not much visible corrosion but some crud in places.
The JBR brackets are wider than the stock ones. Had to move the crimps on the swaybar a bit further inwards.
Other than that.. it was a smooth drag.

Frustrated with mine

3 months ago, did all 4 new bilstein shocks. New trans fluid. New rear brakes. Last month there is a clunking noise from rear passenger. Can't figure out what it is. Shock is tight. Nothing on the inside. Wonder if it is sway bar bushing or sway bar link. SIGH. 89K miles. 2012.Original owner.

Definitely the bushings. It's so cheap and easy you should change it out just because.
