What have you done to your Mazda5 today?

Factory rx8 wheels are +50 offset and wears a 225 size tire. THey seem to have a very very slight stretch to them. The evolution8 8/9 uses 235 on a 8" rim... seem to sit square on the rim.

I'd use the 225s

New estimate done on the damage by a guy backing into me a few weeks ago. First estimate by his insurance company was $400; estimate by my insurance company is $1400 and six days in the shop. Great.

Dealership replaced the FSB bushings with new ones and added the the shield/covers back in November under the TSB. So far so good...no clunking! But found that the rear continued clunking. Dealer didn't replace those as they couldn't hear the clunking from the rear when they went for a test drive. I ordered two new RSB bushings (Part# C24328156D) off ebay for $9 shipped back in November and installed them last week. The old ones seemed to be in good shape but dry. I hit the new ones with Energy Suspension lube and I'm glad to report that the clunking in the rear is gone as well. We'll see how long it lasts.

If the rear clunking comes back, I ordered the RSB that's listed in the Mazda TSB as well off ebay (Part# C2Y62810XA). Hopefully that'll be a long term solution if the RSB bushings fail. The replacement RSB, bushings, and brackets all look different from stock. The bushings and brackets look beefier for sure and has FoMoCo on it. Good ole' Ford parts bin...

LOL...same thing I posted about a few posts up (#2284). Although I haven't installed the updated RSB yet since the replacement bushings have been doing the trick for now. We'll see once the lube wears off though. Did you notice that the new RSB bushings weren't lubed? I plan on greasing them up if/when I install mine.
