What Have You Done To Your House Today?

I can only think of a couple of things Jen. Maybe a repellant, or unfortunately, screening/netting, maybe hot peppers, you can also try trapping the squirrel with a bait box, other than that not sure Jen. I don't really know much about them. Here we have rabbit problems.

The best thing too Jen is planting stuff they wont eat. Perhaps maybe do a little research or ask questions when purchasing new shrubs/bulbs/perennials. Sorry for the lack of good info.

If we tried trapping them we'd be doing it the rest of the year lmao there are so many.... I'm guessing once they grow a little taller they wont be able to reach the buds anymore lol

Yeah dude. Chicken wire is your friend but it really makes the landscape look like s*** unfortunately.

I've heard that if you put mothballs out they don't like the ammonia smell and may stay away, but you don't want those if the plants are puppy level.

Maybe put a feeder 20 feet or so away from the plants so they have something else to nibble on other than your hibiscus?

hmmm thats an idea

Are they digging in the dirt too or just eating the blooms? You can sprinkle coffee grounds around the plants and they tend to not bother with the soil then...but squirrels are crafty and VERY adaptable. They'll push stuff out of the way and/or they get used to obnoxious smells pretty easily.

Hmm. I've found the peppery sprays don't do much at all if you were thinking about those. I think the squirrels just think "great! We're having Mexican tonight for dinner!"

I was going to mention that but the squirrels will make a disaster out of that. Then you are spending money feeding the lil dudes and they will still come back and eat your plants.

...aaaand we're in! The movers were awesome, put in about an 8 hour day, wrapping up around 6:30 with everything right where we asked them to put it. They were very nice guys, too, which made the whole day less stressful.

Lucas is beside himself with joy over his train table, racecar bed and outside toys showing up. I'm so happy to see my Tempurpedic and our couches. But now, I'm going to bed. My actual bed! YAAAAAAAY!!!! :D

CONGRATS TO ERIC!!!!
damn playboy. 67" Too much for phil.
After having a 52" Sony projection LCD in Turkey...I convinced my wife we couldn't go smaller and needed to go bigger (Muuuuhaaahaaaa)...I had been watching the Mitsu 60" for at least 6 months, and was going to buy 1 this week.
Something told me to check around locally and we stumbled into the Best Buy down the street. We saw a 42" open box for $799, but it wasn't big enough. But we ended up getting a 19" Toshiba LCD hdmi flat panel with built-in dvd player for $250 for the kitchen (open box) and that convinced me to look around a bit more.
The next day we drove out to Crystal City/Pentagon/Pentagon mall and stumbled into yet another best buy. What I saw there, made me pull the wallet out. 67" of lcd hdmi full hd dlp goodness (its the mirrors...lol).
he tv retailed for $3,000, but due to it being an open box display, I got it for a "reasonable" price...one that even my wife let me have a little leeway.
should have my hd cable hooked up on monday (comcast REALLY that bad guys...?) and the the tv delivered on tuesday...woohoo.

Today started with the renting of a 16' moving truck, followed by the exhausting loading of a s***-load of sod, which I got free. Then I brought it home, and filled in some sections of the yard that were lacking in grass. The whole thing was exhausting, and I didn't finish until about 10:00PM! Then, we swept the dirt out of the truck and started loading it with trash so we can make a dump run first thing tomorrow.

After the dump, we'll load the big stuff from our apartment, then head over to our storage unit to empty it out.

We're getting there. We love this house!

Have I mentioned that the neighbors are awesome? They are.
