I referred my sis-in-law to the Mazda dealership I go to and she ended up getting a 2011 Mazda 3 Sport. I received a $100 for doing so but asked if i could get this instead:
Stainless steel rear bumper guard
How's it look in person? I have been thinking of getting one.

I think it looks great. The rear licence plate frame I made is stainless as well so it matches nicely. Still snowing here so I don't have the photo with the rear door closed.
It's OEM for sure, bought it at the Mazda dealer. I didn't keep the box but MATR6's post (#562) has the link to the part.
True, it has almost got too nice of a finish. Better than gouging into the paint and plastic bumper though
Me too, I wonder if they make a guard for it. When it's polished clean, the chrome really pops on my black bumper.
Its stainless, not chrome, so its much stronger and a bit more resistant to scratching. A guard for the bumper guard? ;-)

2 point rear lower arm bar came in, however I forgot that the 4 point for the other side was separate so I'm holding off on installing it until I get the other one sorted out
Anyone have any of these lil silicone remote covers? I kindof like them...lots of colors from which to choose too.
We got my wife the red one to match her Soul Red CX-5. It does a good job protecting it and since she carries it in her purse with a bunch of other things that can scratch it, it's worth the $8 investment. New key replacements are expensive.

After 16 months of seeing those damned yellow rear shock bump stops peeking out from the wheel wells every time I approach my CX-5 in a parking lot and never being able to quite reach the middle of the roof when I wash the car, I bit the bullet and ordered a set of H&R Sport springs from THMotorsports ($265 shipped-best price I could find). My goal is to give the car a more "settled" look and not to try to turn into a Mazda 3 on steroids, hence the choice of the H&Rs over the more radical Corksport springs. Everything I've seen here leads me to believe that the added negative camber will not be a problem with the H&Rs and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that there will be no major degradation of ride quality. Unfortunately, just got an email from THM that it will take a week or so for the springs to drop ship from H&R, but I guess if I've waited this long...

Are those H&R springs progressive? If so the ride quality hit should be moderate in most daily usage.
Looking forward to your feedback, I agree that the moderate lowering shouldn't cause alignment problems leading to excessive tire wear.

Yes,, they are. Will report back when the deed is done. An added bonus would be if lowering the CG and inch or two actually does improve handling feel (at least subjectively). Not being an SUV type at heart, I have always felt that, no matter how well sorted the CX-5 suspension may be, being up so high always has me feeling like I'm flailing around in corners. Of course going back and forth between it and the wife's MX-5 doesn't help that perception!
