I consider the first car, the silver 2004 with 52,000 mile as overpriced. With a manual transmission at least around where I live, Wash DC, could never sell for that much. Maybe 8500. I realize the KBB say 12,500 but that is a joke and a remnant of earlier economic times.
On the having it inspected, the dealer selling it should be ok with that and not at all charge you for that. The salesman might grumble and try to quilt you with "don't you trust us" or "we do our own inspection" but do not buy it unless it is an insepction that is certified and has a guarentee behind it. If they try to charge you for taking it to a mechanicin, run away from the dealer.
