What do you dislike most about your Speed 3?

I think its either a Japanese thing or lazy programming... I wouldnt mind if it came on when you hit auto if you were able to turn it off by hitting the A/C button but it doesnt give you a choice: if you want auto the a/c will be on... lame that so many cars force this... my other beast lets me leave it in auto with a/c off....

If I hit auto, the A/C will work until I set the temp to about 2 or 3 degrees higher than ambient. So, if I want 72 degrees in the cabin, I have to set the Auto setting to 74 or 75. Works the same in my Honda Pilot. Weird.

I can't find the post, but regarding the hatch release... Why can't you just hit the unlock button?

Weird, you can't just hit unlock to open the hatch??

And yes, that may end up being my biggest pet peeve once I have the car. The speedo location....so weird. I'm going to be doing 70mph+ and it's only 9 o clock (clockwise).

what i hate moist about my mazdaspeed3 is how the tranny just blew!!! and also how stupid mazda is really stupid!! ugh!!! missed work today because i had no car and they wont even cover a rental for the first 5 days..

The notchy shifter. I miss third gear about 28.63% of the time if I am trying to accelerate quickly.

Honorable mention goes to the way she jumps around on rough roads... especially if you are getting on it. It is like riding a wild bull... Hold on!

My old Sentra handled just as well as this MS3, so I wasn't surprised at how it handled on rough roads. That's the price to pay when you have a stiff suspension.

Found another thing I hate. The Sport's HU seem to boost the bass at Volume evel 35. At 34, it everything is okay. It's not just louder... it's almost as if I turned up the bass setting a few notches up! Not smooth...

It pushes the 'just barely decent' sound to 'muffled and muddy bass' sound. Uhg! I don't think replacing the stock speakers will fix it. Too bad, because that was as far as I would go in upgrading the sound system.

page 13 ftw.

BTW, j-rod, doesn't your d-side window auto down? i believe mine does. i am unsure if auto up is feasible considering the risk of something getting caught in there, such as a child's head lol

Yeah, the driver's side has the auto down, but it is the only window that has that option. As far as a kids head (or whatever) getting caught in the window as it goes up, on cars equipped with that option the window will stop if it encounters any type of abnormal resistance on the way up.

My brother's GTI has the auto-up on both driver and pass side (no rears - his is a 2 door). I never had it in my old car, so not having that feature isn't a big deal. Though it'd be a nice touch.

I hear you on the non-MP3 playing HU, iredremix. If you want to stay stock, I guess you can always ebay search a mazda MP3 HU. Other than the SQ problem, the MP3 HU is really good! Too bad it doesn't play WMAs though.

This is officially the nit-pick thread. :)

Auto-Up/Down is a nice feature, but it is not meant to last forever. Meaning, it will eventually have problems. Door motors are extremely powerful and most auto up/down's pull the window down a smidge too far or a smidge too high, stressing the motor every time at that last inch. I've seen a few go out on people who use that always. Just a little head's up.

The one thing I dislike the most is that I don't have one yet! :'(

Oh yeah... I don't like that the power band seems so short. You are doing well at 3500 RPMs, suddenly by 5500 it is all over... Shift... shift...shift...

What do I dislike most? It's taking all my money lol

Longer gears would be nice too...little squeaks and creaks. I consider these things pretty minor though, I love the car. RWD would be nice too, but then I'm sure it would cost quite a bit more.
