What do you dislike most about your Speed 3?

You have a quite a few more mods than I do... also I have ran with several other speeds in the area... I keep up with them just fine. Unless you are going to tell me that ALL of the speeds I have ran with are broken too...

All I'm saying is that there is no way a 3 series BMW with 225hp is going to "walk" a Mazdaspeed 3" unless, A: The driver of the MS3 is a noob or B: the BMW is pushing more than 225hp and has the TQ to go with it.

All I have right now is a cobb SRI and SU rear motor mount.
The other stuff is what I'm planning on getting.
 
so it kinda sounds like most of the rattles are from the 07's? am i correct?

and my only complaint so far.. <300 miles is brake dust.... ERRRR combined with multi spoke rims

Well I am certainly not a noob. I have been driving for 17 years now and I have driven a lot more powerful cars than a MS3. I have been walked by two 330s, so I suppose it is possible they were both modded... It just seems unlikely.

two of them! man, they BARELY can pull of a sub 15 second 1/4 mile and put down less than 200whp/200ftbs.....even the most aggressive software upgrades on those things end up only finding an add'l 10 whp or ftlbs, and only fatten the curves overall a tiny bit. they all suffer from a 'lull' in the midrange too, so i just don't get it.

maybe they caught you out of boost AND they had some worthy mods to put them in the mid-low 14 second range, but it's my strong opinion that if they were modded, you would have known it solely from the intake and exhaust note, esp if they are passing you or in front as you say (they won).
 
Yep... two of them. Two different start speeds (40s and 60s)... two different gears (I was in the powerband, so I don't think boost was an issue.) ... same results... slow and I mean slow... pulling away of the 330s. Now that I think about it, it was two different MS3s... both had the MS CAI, but my first MS3 was stolen.

Well those 3-series were most definitely pushing more than 225hp since you claim to not be a noob driver and your car isn't broken.

They prob were those 330's with the side air vents and flared wheel wells ... I think M stands for 33 in German so M3 = 330 right?......

Still not faster. MS3 can to it in 5.4 that bimmer does it in 5.6 according to that article. Also it has a slower 1/4 time so I don't see how even that one could "walk" a MS3 easily. It would more than likely be the other way around.
 
I have seen that one before... still doesn't match the 5.4 claim. 5.6 at best which ties the Camry and the 330 (PP)
