what do u think bout taking out ac compresser

I think you should do it, I did it on my Honda and it made a big difference...it is also weight reduction...

ill buy your ac compressor (pm me), if ur gonna take off the compressor, you might as well get rid of all the lines, the drier and everything else and it will clean up the engine bay

im taking mine out when i do my motor build and big turbo. i never use it due to the fact i feel a huge power loss when i use it and i just roll my windows down anyways.

true my windows r always down. do u know if u will fell the diffrents?

autozone has the "non a/c" protege belt. taking out the a/c doesnt clean up the bay too much, but it definitely reduces a bit of weight. the lines taken out of the bay looks nice, but to me the best thing is being able to run a nicer/ bigger down pipe with out a horrible bend (flow restriction). that will net WAY more power than the occasional 5% parisitic power loss from crank resistance. the grommet on the firewall needs to be plugged after removing the condenser lines. the condenser is easy to remove behind the dash, but there are a few holes that need to get plugged back there too. you keep the housing in place to allow the blower to still deliver air thru the heater.

overall: its easy, its a benefit. if your windows work, why not? i have no regrets!
