What did you pay for your CX-5?

If they promised you a price and didn't honor it, the "grand scheme of things" is their dishonorable business practices. In the grand scheme of things, walk out. Every time we the consumer choose to "just pay the extra because, well, it's only X dollars" you teach them to do that to the next guy b/c they will likely get away with it. Don't let emotion run the negotiation! If your car caught fire in their lot and you needed a new car that day, I get it. That $500 is chalked up to bad circumstance and they got you. However, under any normal circumstances you should stick to your guns. $500 buys a whole lotta lotta chedda.

1) It's a set of new tires.
2) It is a set of roof rails, racks and all weather mats
3) It is a remote start option
4) etc
(iagree) and that's exactly what we did. Dealer x promised $xxx below invoice, in writing, then later sent an email saying that $250 of that amount would only be good for another week. My response was that I didn't think their pressure tactics were very demonstrative of an earnest effort to 'earn our business', that the term ethically challenged came to mind and that we'd take our business elsewhere, which we did.

I'm looking to buy within the next three months, I have an 2005 tribute to trade in with 112,000 miles, which is worth about $4,000 in trade. I have "S" pricing, but wondering if that's worth using versus current promotions $500 off and 0.9% financing for 60 months. I don't think a 2015 will offer any improvements. I'll be looking for a CX-5 GT with Tech package with remote start.

OK, it looks like S plan will stack with other incentives and other offers. I may need to hop on a 2014 now before stocks get too low.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good price for a white 2014 Touring FWD w/tech? $26,298 before TTL and $750 loyalty rebate.

TrueCar has this configuration at $27,554 but with the 2015's almost here I don't know how accurate that is now.

Can you tell the manufacturer date from the VIN? I'm looking online for CX-5's and want to make sure I get the 2014.5.

Not really, other than the year
The last digits for MY2015 start at: F#300001
The last digits for MY2014 start at: E#300001

From personal shopping, if you see a E#42#### it most likely is a MY2014.5 and was produced in Dec 2013 but the easiest way is to look for the straight shifter on autos.
(BTW, the first # following the letter is a 0 or 1 depending on which factory it came from.)

Yes, I've been looking around too and I notice anything starting with "4" is ususally the updated 2014.5s

So after looking at Rav4's, Escapes, CRV's and Rogues we came to take a look at the mazda cx-5. Walked into the dealership with no intention of buying, just armed with a couple facts and things we would have wanted and ended up walking out the owners of a 2014.5 Meteor Gray GT W/Tech for 29.5k out the door on Feb 28th. So far I see no reason why it wasn't a great decision....I was never an SUV kinda guy but this thing was perfectly priced and very well equipped. Hope that we can drive this thing for 150k.....seems like this will be a great place to watch the cx-5 platform grow.

I will be finalizing my car in the next day or 2. I got a white cx5 GT w/ Tech pack for 30,350 before taxes. no incentives.

Out the door including tax and title/plate transfer? 2.5 AWD as well? If so, that's a great price then.

I wish, after dealer fee's and title transfer it was a smidge over 30k at 30,105. My goal was to try and be at or below 30k total. The real kicker was the amount they gave me on my trade in, nearly 500$ more then any other dealership! And yeah, its a 2.5 awd, that's the only way to go....we tried a 2.0 touring and there just wasn't enough power to get that thing moving.

March Incentives?

Mazda USA's February incentive program expired yesterday. Has anyone seen similar programs for March?

This came up for my area.
http://www.mazdausa.com/MusaWeb/displaySpecialOffers.touch.action?zip=60062&vehicleCode=CX5
0.9% APR for up to 60 MONTHS.
Current Mazda Owners can get $500 Owner Loyalty Cash toward the purchase or lease of a new 2013 Mazda3 or 2014 CX-5:
$500 Owner Loyalty Cash toward a 2013 Mazda3 or 2014 CX-5.
Thanks. I missed that on Mazda's website. It looks like the above is a continuation of the February incentive so I presume/hope that the 0.9% for up to 36 months on 2015s will still be in effect.

I picked mine up for 96% of invoice for the vehicle and all the accessories I had added. Picked it up on February 28th, 2014. It was an extremely easy experience. Negotiated with all the area Mazda dealerships over email and picked the best one.

Suggestion - If you go my route, check the mazdausa.com site for inventory and stay away from odd combinations of factory-only additions (like the factory installed trailer hitch). This will only result in greedy dealerships holding the specific car you want hostage for a higher price. Stick with the basics, like a "2014 Mazda CX-5 with the Moonroof/Bose System Package", then add on accessory items after the baseline deal is arranged.

Looks like I cna get a 2014 GT AWD with tech for between $29,940 and $30167 and 0.9% financing. I may have to pounce as the color I want is almost gone.

Are you trading in? You can probably get another $500 off to below $29,500.
