Went in for alignment got broken front lip..

subject line says it all. I got my front and rear sways installed today
the shop didn't have a rack, so they sent my car to their normal
alignment shop people. Then either the driver wasn't paying attention
or he was going up the ramp to fast. But BLAMMMO front lip smashed
to pieces. Just wanted to share that with everyone. Here are some
pics of what horrible damage.

Oh heck yah... I just have to go find Rishie and get a price quote
from him for autoexe lip. Then another quote for painting both
bumper and lip. Then quote out installing. Boy what a hassle
but its got to be done.. Man I'm still bummbing from all this. But
oh well thats life.

I notice you put on the plastic lip on your Autoexe lip. Do you have any pictures with it on your car before this accident?

I just got the splitter on about 1week and half ago. So I don't have
pictures of in one piece. If you want I can take better pictures
of the splitter and the lip???

damn! I had the alignment shop scratch under the lip of my front end when i took it in after installing springs. they claimed it was like that when they got it. :bs:

I've been there a few times and they're cool (deal with Greg he's a good guy), though when I had them throw on my Rsway bar and endlinks they didn't tighten them enough, so last night I'm riding with some buds to and it comes undone and starts whacking around the control arms Don't know if it's that they were'nt tight or they just wriggled loose, though.

Cruizer... sorry to hear about your car... I remember your car at AutoX in Hollywood Park... back in december.. I think... anyways i loved it and was planning on getting the lip too... but maybe a "cheaper" version... how much for the "real" one??? Good luck with getting it done quick and smoothly. I was done at Al Archard Tire shop.

I haven't been to Pann on convoy. I usually go to the one in
Nasty City. And good thing you werent doing any hard left
and right turns. Might have bent a few things.

Is the splitter the same one from the Mp3/MSP bumper? What did you use to insert the middle of the lower lip? i see there's like 3 slots of plastic inside of it...
any pictures would help.

Yes the same one.

They are just black plastic inserts I made. I got the idea
from wheelguuru (works for AutoRD) as he put metal spacers on his blue mp3.

btw, did you get the lip before you lowered you car? Or lowered then front lip? I just want to know if you have to be careful with the front lip w/o lowering?

I got the lip after I lowered it. I would still be careful even if you
didn't lower your car. But you don't have to be overly cautious.
Just make sure you don't hit any alignment racks

Can you give some further info about those spacers... coz i have a DG lip and right now my OEM splitter is lying in my room and i want to put it up like that too but i just dont know how to attach it to the lip...
