Well...thinking of getting a new 5...how about some feedback from owners.

Leather is standard on the GT. Options: Sirius, DVD, remote start, dimming mirror, then six or seven floor mat/cargo cover options.

I got everything except DVD, door edge guards, moonroof deflector, and wheel locks. Says $27,140 on the website. I paid about $21,700.

Awesome deal, Robotaz.

I was thinking about the Canadian GT, where leather, nav and 6 disc (at least in 07) are the only factory options. Dealer installed options seem limited only by the imagination of the parts manager.

In the showroom at the local dealer, they had two 5's, one with a mountain bike and the other with a kayak. Both held up by roof racks and everything itemized on the window sticker.

I'm sure I could get fun-fur seat covers if I paid enough(thumb)

I was told $2500 MINIMUM off....

I just called my dealer in Louisville last night and was told I could get someone else hooked up for at least $3500 off sticker on a GT. That's including a $500 loyalty bonus though. I think if I went and helped out with the hustle I could get them down to $3500 off without the loyalty, if not more. They sell over 100 new Mazdas a month, so they profit on factory volume payments, not markup.

I just called the dealership and they are offering $1500 off sticker (dealer cash)...not bad.
Check with Bommarito in St. Louis before you buy. There are three different stores, and I have no connection with them other than I am a satisfied customer.

That's where I just drove my 2010 galaxy gray mica GT home from...it's also where I picked up my 2008.5 speed3 (metropolitan gray mica).

^^ How's your MS3 doing? I want a '10, but I'm still worried about all of the smoking/blown turbo and bent rod stories. I know stupid kids killed a lot of them, but there are far too many of those stories to just be stupid people.

The MS3 is holding up great -- it only has 14K miles on it after almost 2 years. I'd wager I'm older than most MS3 owners (I'm closer to 40 than 30), and I take good care of it. It's lightly modified, but running stock boost. I autocross in it, so it's not babied. In fact today, I had to show a Dodge Durango of all things the futility of him trying to speed up so I couldn't pass him. I looked at the new models while waiting to pick up the 5 today, the new body style hasn't quite grown on me yet.

Yeah, that grill is hard to get used to. I'm pretty sure a mean one will come out soon. I like the profile on the new one a lot, and I hear it's considerably more civilized, whatever that means. I bought a Civic Si instead of the MS3 and wish I'd just bought the MS3. Peace.

I was going to test drive a SI (i'm a long time honda guy, or should say, was) but after I drove the MS3, I was done!

I must throw out my apologize to SMOKEHOUSE; sorry for thread jacking.
