OK so I finally have an update for all of you hungry scavengers: one of my insurance company's "Immediate Response Vehicles" came to my house today. . . 9 days after the accident. I had a number of classified ads on hand, and was prepared to argue with the claims adjuster. The insurance company's offer was quite fair, though, and I gladly accepted the settlement for $40 less than I bought it for, over 15k miles ago. The salvage price was a bit more than I was willing to pay, though, so I've decided not to keep it to part out. Sorry guys, it would just be too much of a headache to break even.
That being said, I'll be starting a FS thread before the end of the week for a few performance parts. Not a lot of stuff, but some tasty bits for sure.

This P5 is Not totaled it would take ruffly $800.00 in Body parts to get this P5 Back to normal again plus another $200.00 to paint it So ruffly $1,000.00 is what it would take to fix it =-)(drinks)

random question....did delivering subs make you car smell like food all the time? i've been considering trying to find a job doing that, but i dont want it to smell up my car

I deliver pizza 5days a week as a student job
and yes it will make your car smell like food, one trick is to keep your windows slightly open at night so the smell goes away
also, be sure to cover your passenger seat with a plastic bag so no food juice gets on your seat!

What? Are you an insurance adjuster?

Sorry about the car pete! Glad you made out well with the insurance adjuster!

Have you ever gotten body work done? This car needs a hood, both bumpers, a fender, the liftgate, a quarter panel, the core support, and more. That is thousands of dollars in parts, paint, and labor. Thanks for the $0.02, but I think I'll leave it to the professionals in this instance.

My car did not smell like food all the time, only after work. I delivered 4 days a week, and left the windows open as much as possible (so as not to run the a/c as much, but also so the pressure from my subwoofer didn't implode my eardrums). I'm sure if you delivered pizza or Chinese food, your experience would be different, but I work for Jimmy John's, which only does cold subs.

Update: After some headaches with my title, I finally got a check from my insurer. Sometime in the coming week, I'm going to a nearby city to check out a nice-looking P5. If that doesn't pan out, I'll be selling a few tasty bits.

I recently went through having my Escort ZX2 totaled. Insurance(other person's) surprisingly gave me $4200 for it when KBB was $3400. Take a peak around the Raleigh craigslist because I know there are a few for sale!
