It's summertime! What type of grill do you prefer to cook out on?

Weber kettle charcoal grill, gas grill, or other brand charcoal grill?
Let's see.. I was always one of those guys who had to use a charcoal grill because i thought it tasted better.. but since moving out to my own house and having my own cook-outs or just the occasional grilled dinner, i've learned that it's so much easier to cook on my gas grill now.. you just go out, turn on the bottle and press a button-- BANG.. you're ready to cook!! 
no more waiting a half hour for the coals to get ready, blah blah.. and when I'm done.. I just turn off the bottle and close the cover.. no coals to get rid of or worry about someone or something getting burned on!!
plus they make these gas grills so cool now-a-days, with nifty features, thermometers, side-burners and so much more

...been using a Weber kettle since '87...
However; my wife now wants a gas grill. I don't know. I don't mess with lighter fluid; as I use a charcoal chimney - works great!!
But; she wants the added ease of being able to just go outside, and crank up the gas, without the hassle of charcoal. I have always felt the finished product is better on the Weber kettle; but I haven't had that much experience with the gas grill.
Maybe one of those new charcoal/gas combo grills would be cool...

Easy sollution chief. Make her change the Propane tank and tell her if she messes it up it will explode!
She will let you keep the old charcoal after that.

yes,,,,,,possibly. She knows it doesn't need switched out that often, though.

I did. Thank you very much. It is too intense too absorb in one sitting on 4 hours sleep so I will be readin it peice by peice.
Sounds like I need to get a polisher and then use the scratch remover first. Not to mention update by cleaning and drying accesories to aviod further swirl marks.
Any recommened place to get the polisher although my buddy did just get a massive dewalt one.

Joe (my buddy with that gorgeous Si) said he thought they might be about $110.00 at Loew's. But; I haven't checked yet. He has all the nice car care stuff. He's who I am learning all of this from.

I will say this: I love the Weber brand. If you can afford a Weber Gas Grill, that is the one I would buy. They are not cheap, however. The quality is incredible.

Charcoal barbeques give your food a better taste. But if your going for gas make sure you get at least 64,000 btu's. You want really high heat if you want to do a good job on your steaks! The best gas barbeques I have seen are the Nepolean(sp?). They are simply amazing with lifetime warranty. Look to pay big $$ though but if you can afford it they are worth it!

The webber charcole is the best grill there is! Gotta love the kettle!
Oh, yea just kinda a little story envolving the ol kettle. On our back patio we had 1 webber kettle, and 2 gas grills(dont remember thier brand...got one at Sears, another at Fred Meyer's(north west chain of stores)) any hoot....we wake up one morning and one of the grills is gone.
Now the webber cost 60 bucks, and each gas grill ran around 350 each....the webber was gone. The other's were in the same place untouched. Now some people say that is cause it was easier to take...yet the more expensive and expensive bling bling looking grill was just as easy to take too.
See, everyone loves the kettle...even the cooks....err I mean crooks!

I like to keep a decent gas grill for the times you just want to eat and don't have a great deal of time. However, I just bought a cheap charcoal grill for weekends and holidays for when you just have to have that great charcoal taste and you want to take your time preparing a good BBQ. I just picked up like a $30 cheap charcoal grill and it works very well. I vote both! works for me
I really don't want to spend more than $250.

I know nothing about the natural gas models. But; a Weber gas for around $350.00 is as inexpensive as they come, I think.
My brother bought a Char-Broil gas for $120.00 from Home Depot, or Loew's. Entry level, but it does the job. Oh yeah! It doesn't need those lava rocks either.
