Web Hosting Question

I need about 100 MB of storage space with ASP and CGI support, does anyone have any good recommendations for relatively cheap?

If you get 1&1, do not skimp on the extras. I use them now, but I do not get phone support at all. Any problems, expect up to a week for any response worth a damn. Otherwise, 99.9999% uptime basically. Just don't email support for anything.

I had hasweb before, and they were horrid.

I am planning to go to godaddy.com, as that is where I registered. Now they host, too.

I had problems getting started last year when I signed up. I got canned emails with basic stuff I already knew, tried, and mentioned in my emails. It took an email to the director of support for them to fix the problem.

After a few other problems with stuff not working, I ended up only getting a decent reply when I emailed the higher ups.

I am sure that if I had phone support, it would be better, but their email support was lacking as of last year when I had to contact them.

But the high uptime is great. I will give them that.

I use Lunarpages for MTMA's website. They're not the cheapest, but are not expensive at all. Plus their customer service absolutely *ROCKS*. I always get a response with 24 hours via email. And their support forums are quick to see replies, and they also have phone service as well. No complaints in the 12 months I've been using them, and I am definitely renewing for another 12 months of hosting in June.

hey justin, i used webhostingbuzz.com for my hosting solutions while i was working for one of my school organizations, it's like 4 bucks a month with i think 2 gigs with 35 gig of bandwidth. they now got a promostion for 2.5 gig with 40 gig bw for 4 bucks a month. a lower plan is available too. 1.5gig with 30 gig bandwidth. i didn't exactly search that much in depth when i found it last time, so don't hold my word to it. but their email service responded within a day for my problems. http://webhostingbuzz.com/sharedwebhostingplans.html
does our mtma forum need that much bandwidth anyways??

***edit!!! ah crap... hey nevermind i thought justin posted the question... silly me. i misread the thread on the front page. finals must have fried my brain up pretty badly. anyhow, take my advice as one of the option still.

i use lunarpages for MOCC as well. great support, very easily reachable by phone.

I use brinkster... great customer support, they have a live chat section with a person who works there..

I also have a 1and1 account, but rarley use it because I'm an ASP.net web application developer and its expensive there for that type of hosting.

Well, I run my own hosting server if anyone is interested in a good deal. Let me know what you need and I will see what we can do for you. However, it's a Linux server so no ASP! Sorry!
