Waxing Mica Black?????

i have the answer

i also have a black mica 3i, and have used several waxes and polishes, including the expensive ones at work, (im a car painter). the only one that i really liked that left no haze was 'Eagle-One wax-as-u-dry', comes in a translucent red bottle. when you wash your car use an eagle one soap, (most waxes go hand in hand with a soap of the same brand), wash your car, before you dry spray the wax, you dont need much just a spray or two on each panel does the trick. then just simply dry it all off. if it does leave a haze which it sometimes will depending on the temperature outside, just get a clean dry terry cloth or chamois towel and wipe it off. trust me it works. let mew know how it turns out.

the whole thing with "dun wash your car right after you get the paint protection" is cuz it will come off after 2 or 3 times of wash.. thats the only reason.. it is a waste of the protection after the dealer put it on. wash it only after when the smoothness of the paint when you touch is fading.

and bout the eagle one.. if it works as great as u say it does... then i am gona give it a shot.. but.. how long does the wax last?? anywho.. gonna try it after my Maquire runs low.. see if anyone else who has tried it.. speak up! peace~

Well when the dealer gets the cars they are dirty as s***...inside and out...the dealer cleans the car inside and out....thats the extra 100 to 500 or so dollars on the price tag that just seems to appear. Some dealers call it a clear coat protector or something crazy like that. Well all it is a good hand wax. I told my dealer I didn't want to pay for this but Mazda requires it, so I had no choice.

If anyone that lives in the Colorado Springs area wants to know a great sales person that will not lead you down the wrong path and will tell you every truth you need to know ...pm me. Now the dealership isn't great but this guy is worth it.

I'm not sure your dealer was honest with you if they said Mazda requires that they sell you the clear coat protector. I turned that down along with all the other things the F & I guy recommended. I've heard of alot of people actually refusing delivery of the new car's they've ordered if their dealer attemts to wash and wax it - since most dealers install the complimentary swirl package in their attempts to detail.

I agree it is easy to apply and remove which I really like especially now that it's getting cooler. I also think NXT looks great on dark colors and blacks.

The eagle one wax as u dry that was asked about earlier isn't a bad product but it isn't going to give you the same protection as other things. I've tried it and I kind of like to use it since I'm gentle with how I dry the car and I think it makes that a bit easier. I haven't had issues with streaking. I've never used it without a good coat of wax already being underneath previously before washing so I'm not really sure if it provides much protection...can't really tell if it added more.
