Im so pissed right now, I just had to get this off my chest....

driving home from work today I am pulling away from a stoplight and im behind an audi s4. I have a soft spot for these cars so I was following him close and checking out the car. We maybe go 200 yards and he pulls over to let me pass him, so im thinking, s*** I guess I was following too close, oh well. So I just mosey past him, feeling like a jerk, when all the sudden hes weaving all over the road behind me trying to ride my ass in retalliation. What an ass....So at the next light, Im goin straight and he pulls along side and starts screaming at me: "You were tailgating the wrong motha f#$ker, you little prick... why dont you pull over and we can settle this..."

I of course am no little prick at 6'2 220, so the thought crossed my mind to get out and see just how tough this dude is. But then again, Im no match for a gun so I just yelled back, "get lost asshole." Well obviously that set him off, he reached down and grabbed a full coffee or soda or something and chucked it at my open window and peeled out thru traffic in front of me. I am SOOO pissed, what kind of an asshole does that, I didnt even think I was following that close! argh, lucky for me most of the mess stayed outside the car and a quick wash cleared it up, but damn, not the way I wanted to start my weekend.

If youre ever in delaware and see a blue S4 with tags 533530, be sure to give him a piece of your mind for me....

You didn't let it get physical, which is the best thing you could have done. It's hard sometimes though. I tend to egg people on by smiling and waving. That really gets their blood boiling...

You should have pulled over and called the police then and there though. Make, model, plate number and a car covered in coffee would have given you enough to file a report of road rage on the ******.

Seriously, that sucks man and at least you didn't get shot or whatever. You never know how freaking nuts people are out there. I think it was a good idea that you didn't get out of the car although I am sure you had a few daydreams about what could have gone down and how you could have pulled a Chuck Norris on his ass.

Since you and your car are ok, that's all that matters.

Maybe when he yelled at you it might have been a good idea to yell back that you liked his car and were just checking it out. I wonder if he would have continued to act like a freak for a couple minutes but then later might have realized he was being an ass. You know, when he was back at home taking orders from his cats.

I know this sounds like a stereotype, but in my experience people who have the coin for a car like an S4 often have an enormous sense of entitlement. Couple that with the kind of personality that flips out behind the wheel and throws coffee at people, and I don't think the driver in question is the sort of person to ever think of themselves as being in the wrong.

I find staying calm and shrugging them off usually sets them off more than getting into an arguement with them on the road.

I had a dude in a taurus like 2 weeks ago who made it a point to swerve around and fly past myself and an 18wheeler from the offramp of 95 to 896... he then got pissed when I sped up to do the same and passed him... Its not even like a flew by him, I didnt even go full out, but I still got the "ride ass and highbeam" treatment.... (it really pissed him off when I did the same (eek2))

but as with Jay, Im no match for a gun - so I shrugged it off and continued on my way after the necessary challenge for a fight was given.

I do have to admit, you were calmer than I would have been if someone threw s*** at my car - thats taking s*** to a whole other level completely.

Another funny thing about it was that when i was behind him at the stoplight, I first thought it was one of the VP's of my company cuz i know he just got one. It def wasnt him tho, thank god...

Hindsight I probly shouldve just called the cops, but I was too damn pissed to think of that at the time so I just smoked the tires, sped home and had a beer

nah no dealer marks, and yeah, my buddy is big into VW/audi scene in delaware (Deldubs), so I have him on the case haha. Maybe I can find out where he lives and let all the air out of his tires or maybe have my dog leave him a "present" on his doorstep.....

I think the letting of air might not be the right form of retaliation.

It would be much more appropriate to buy a milkshake or smoothy or something and splatter it in the center of his windshield. I don't know if you've got Whataburgers up there, but they've got a cheap BIG milkshake.

Or, what the heck, put some "speed holes" in his hood with a pick-axe...

There was a case in CA where some lady got pissed and threw a liquid into the passenger side window. She did some jail time for it. I forget what charge they got her on but it was a Felony.

But I feel for yah man. I acutally had a guy try to run me off the road and into the center divider all because they changed the entry ramp onto the freeway and what use to be a right turn was now a straight through and I accidently cut him off and didn't even know it.
