Want to hear live, before I buy cat back, MS3 with MS cat back Raleigh, NC

Before I buy Mazdaspeed cat back exhaust for my Mazdaspeed3 I want to hear one live on the road to make sure I like the sound level especially on the highway. I don't want much droning in the cabin at speed, but I do want more exhuast noise (music to my ears).(thumb)

This exhaust with my MS CAI should give me all the angry little junior supercar noises I want to hear.

Anyone in central NC up for a free lunch for a ride.(cheers)

Do you want to hear it or not at all? The stock exhaust had what I would call "noise".... I suppose drone would be a way to describe that noise. Just not as noticeable.

Ive got the Vibrant. Its a good choice. Downpipe back, with highflow cat, in place of the midpipe. Its better than just a catback, and only slightly louder. Slightly. But I got a useable 25 hp/30trq all through my midrange.... and more topend as well.

Plus everybody who hears it says how great it sounds. Search and you'll find it. Another MS3 owner here in Greensboro was "surprised", that it wasnt louder. Come on up. I'll let you "let er rip"...

The Mazdaspeed CBE is a little noise for nothing. You might as well get a few extra ponies for the price, and sound. The Vibrant gives you that without the really loud cat deletes or turbobacks.

I went to Vibrant site; exhaust, direct fit, Mazda, and I found a cat back only.

I need to figure out how to get a little more sound and free up some power without going broke or waking up all the neighbors on the way to work in the morning.

They call it a downpipe back, "catback"..... but it is different than any other catback because it adds a midpipe section with a hiflow cat inplace of the stock cat. It is more than just a catback.

Good stuff. Search their site for a dyno. There are several guys that have posted clips and dynos. If you want a good compromise, its the one...IMO.

Thanks, that may be what I'm looking for.

Two concerns, I assume it will pass emissions testing and I wonder if the sound supression packing will deteriorate over time making it louder.

I will do more searching.(2thumbs)

I have to pass emission testing. I think I should be fine. My exhaust has not gotten any louder. With the windows up it's church mouse quiet.
