The ones I usually do are cut to replace the CD pocket below or above the radio and are stainless steel panels... Autometer I believe carries/makes one for on top of any steering column... there are a lot of options out there overall. but I don't do fiberglass, CF, or plastic parts yet.

Stewart Warner makes some that are comparably priced to the Autometer and IMHO look nicer.

Yep, a lot of people use them. They aren't too bad from what i know. they don't have much for apperance options.. and they don't match the interiors of the Protege's.... so that's the downside there.

But we really should get back on topic..

I still vote for the AFC for his 200+ bucks over other things.

How do they not match the interior? I think they look nice.

Thanks for you suggestions. With my current mods, what is the most pounds of boost should I run?

zero psi. but really, leave your boost alone until you have atleast a downpipe.

Settling at 9psi or spiking at 9psi because we all know that the MSP doesn't cooperate with boost the way we want it to.

from all ive read 9-10 psi is all i'd do, im sure a very quick spike a little over that wouldn't hurt, but no higher than that. i'd put a vote in for some gutted/new cats, or the dp for a little more, or the AFC for a little more. the AFC will probably have you drooling to drive your car, that'd prolly make the most change for the better. faster and smoother.

small spikes are liveable... but running a "held" boost of 9 or 10 is about the limit.

I still support the AFC for most bang and improvement for the money listed.
