It seems like the vvt switches around 5k or so, but when shifting it falls below the vvt point. Anyone know if this is the same as the Mazda 3 2.5l? I'm not sure if they have different gearing or different vvt point. It takes a lot of fun out of the driving when you can't stay in the power band.
