VTCS delete question

So a few weeks ago I decided to pull my old intake manifold off my blown engine and do a vtcs delete and smooth out the edges in the runners. Just wandering if I could just plug the outside hole and leave the ones on the inside open? I am referring to the holes for the arm that the butterfly valves are attached to

Yeah, you can. You'll just sacrifice a little bit of flow. Shouldn't be noticable though.

so is this mod even worthwhile if i dont plug up the holes? like will i actually feel any gains at all?
