i was watchin trucks today and the guy installed some s*** that dropped the 0-60 time from 9.2 to 7.4 and the 1/4 mile a couple seconds

yeah, lets see it come to production with 24's on it....also, everyone is comparing it to last years model Lightning.....The new Lightning will smoke that crap all day long.

What would you rather have? a $35K 12s truck that is easy and cheap to mod or a $50+K 12s truck that is not easy or cheap to mod?

Ford's banking that there's more smart people with money than stupid.

1st off, 24's will ONLY slow the truck down. The Lightning is an impressive truck, but I doubt it'll take the SRT-10. You don't like MOPAR very much, do you? The 500 horse 8.3L V10 is NOTHING to laugh at.

damn did you any of you read what I said, I blatantly said I'd buy a 2500 diesel before an SRT..oh wait. I already did. Damn you guys are triflin. Yeah 24's are big. But damn they look small on the ram due to the clearance. And the lightning, even with your asshole put "trailer hitch" still can't tow that much. He couldn't pull his 28' Ski Natique with it. I know this because I towed it for him. The ram can go off road, the lightning can't. I hate ford, they are in fact shithouse. I like dodge, that aside, if you had to argue the practicallity. Yes the dodge is more functional, but then the price game comes in to play and it all goes to s***.

If that is the case about the viper motor. How come in gt racing the viper gets smoked by ferriris, and mustang. Oh also my buddy has a 300Z twin turbo he bought use for 18,000 dollars and spent 4,500 on a turbo upgrade. total 22,500. At sebring he dusted a viper and passed it on the straight away. SVT Mustang cobra can dust viper. Also a corvette. When I think of dodge I remember the dodge aries, dynasty, daytona. You hardly see them on the roads...

Not yet, but I plan on purchasing the TST Powermax CR.

It adds up to 150HP and 500lb ft torque at the rear wheels with just this chip.

mazdadan...I think Spicy is mistaken my preference for the Lightning over the SRT-10 as an "I hate Dodge" thing. The dodge deisel turbos are bad-ass. No'one doubts that at all. Is the Vipers V-10 made for towing? Nope....think the SRT-10 will be any different with the same engine and transmission?? nope.

I can't speak about your friends Lightning not towing, but I know they have like an 8K lb towing capacity (will have to look for exact numbers), but that should be plenty for whatever you need to putz around town.

Trucks with Forced induction are nothing to sneeze at. I would much rather have a supercharged V8 making 500hp than a standard V-10 making 500hp. Every try buying parts for a Viper engine as opposed to an F-150 engine??

The only problem is the lightnings method of towing. Yeah, it will tow it..the only problem is it would torque the s*** out of the trailer. Really didn't go to well. Our ram is a different story. Yeah, im really opinionated about it, I really just dislike the lightnings. It just doesn't do it for me.

what does "torque the s*** out of the trailer" mean? I've never heard this form of reasoning before. A trailer hitch is the prefered method of hauling for class 3 and lower vehicles.
