So I installed the cat back exhaust yesterdy night, and the exhaust is really freak'n loud, incredibly!!!! so i'm driving out to the bars with pidass and my girl in the car and we are talking about how loud the car is and how i don't race on the streets cause nobody pays me any attention. Shortly after like 2 min i see these hid's and halos come up behind me and i move over to the slow land.(yes i kinda drive like a grand ma) and my friend is like is that m-class m4 so i acclerate to see and the other car (ass) stomps on it thinking were racing. I'm still looking to see if its a m-class so i try to keep up and i hit fuel cut at 4k rpm. drop it into sixth and by then he's gone. I felt so embarrassed, like a damn ricer. all that noise and nothing to show for it. now Im so pist because i hit fuel cut in every gear,plus to boot even if i get the car tuned it will still hit fuel cut. I'm really not sure what to do at this point. thinking about putting my 2nd cat back on till i can get a sure fire way to prevent fuel cut!!!

i think he said in the end that he was pissed because he keeps hitting fuel cut in every gear. that really sucks, man...hopefully, you get that figured out, cause 1k isn't a lot a power band to play with...^^;

tell us the truth: how many baby squirrels did you kill in your murderous race of DEATH?!?!?! (argh)

that's the reason i keep mine stock... i don't want my car to sound like any other ricer honda on the road :-)....i like the quiet ride that can whoop yo azz in an undercover way :-).. +SLEEPER !!!

You can still up the boost...I plan on doing everything but messing with the exhaust and see how it goes.

I had the loud car once, 2004 SRT-4 with 3in catless dp going into a mopar catback. That was loud, you could here the turbo whirl through exhaust. Sure shooting flames is cool, but it gets old after awhile.

One of the things I like best about the ms3 is how quiet it is.

You are experiencing what just about everyone else gets with your mods. That car is designed to run within a set of parameters which you have exceeded. As long as you cannot tune the stock ECU, you have to except the limitations handed out by the engineers. Remember, while designing for a good bit of power (263 hp from 138 cubic inches is nothing to be ashamed of), the engineers had to be meeting emissions, and longevity goals.
This is a great car, but not the dream car modders hope for. Invest $1000 in engine management (there are a couple of cut and splice units available), then you may get what you are looking for. Just slapping on a bunch of bolt on mods is not the way to go.
