anyone know how to remove the vents attached under the hood? my piping from my fmic is contacting it and would like to remove it. thanks
heres a pic of my car so the thread aint so boring lol
is that for the whole thing? because i was talking about the vent for the stock tmic. the thing is just workin away at my piping. thanks for the response
nice. thanks for the pic. i just had one more question. do you here any noise now that you took everything off, does evertything sound and feel alright? thank you btw your car is sick!
thanks, I have yet to drive it though. Im still waiting for my stuff to get back from powdercoating. I took off the 2 pieces from the top of the grill as well, they direct air into the stock top mount. It should let some more air behind the front mount for cooling purposes with them out too. Good luck, ill keep you posted about any noises once i get the car back together.
I just had my Cobb FMIC installed Saturday and was thinking of what I should remove from underneath the hood. I've already removed the rubber shroud surround that connects to the hood that sat on top of the TMIC. Should I just go ahead and remove all of the plastic ducting or leave it be. It seems like if I remove all of it, I'll just be left with hood insulator. Do I really need the plastic ducting to just keep some air being directed into the battery box? Seems silly.
mazda really screwed us on this one. Once you remove the plastic ducting youll be left with and empty spot. They didnt put the hood insulator all the way across. It looked silly, thats why I removed it all. I guess its all based on your personal opinion once you get it off. Its not hard to put back, try it and see what you like
