I have several designs that do angle the gauge toward the driver. However, none of these are in circular shaped vents. The problem with angling is that it increases the cross-sectional "area of interference" with the flow of air. That, and it often necessitates the need for secondary action in the tool, which adds sustantial cost.
That being said, I will look into that. If I can get 5-10* of angle in there without any big issues, we may just go that way.
