Vandalism Thread

I used to live in an apartment in town and utilized public parking. I had two motorcycles that remained covered in the first spot. It was next to a seafood restaurant/bar grill. As I was walking outside I heard a waitress yelling at someone. I noticed she was yelling at some drunk dude who had thrown up all over my first bike. Yes!

I got a tad bad with the guy and he ended up getting into a car with some friends who drove him off. That weekend I get a rap on my door @ 3am from a local constable. Someone had pushed both of my bikes over their kickstands.

My Vmax and restored 1980 KZ1000 had about $1500 damage combined. That was my breaking point. I bought a house 4 months later.

I had my 2005 Mazda 2.3 sp for 3 days when it was vandalized. It was in what I thought was a safe area of Asheville, NC. My girlfriend and I went to the movie theatre. I saw a group of kids (13-15ish) harassing a car driving by (hanging inside the open windows, throwing things). I thought, "Man, I'd hate to be him, but they must know that guy" (I thought it was a joke). I parked my car normally and some big ugly truck parked inches from mine. So naturally, I moved my car to an end spot in BFE to make sure no one parked next to me.
My girlfriend and I went in. Halfway through the previews I had a bad feeling in my stomach. I just knew something happened to my car. Anyway, we finished watching what turned out to be a disaster of a movie (Wild Hogs). When we went outside, I noticed what looked like a dent in my back left door. As I got closer, it turned out to be a beach ball size dent with a foot print right in the middle.
I reported it to the on scene security. There response, "Yeah, that sort of thing has been happening a lot lately. We have a good idea of who it is, but we haven't caught them." Keep in mind there were 3 security guards working that night and none of them saw it happen. No cameras on scene and the movie theatre is not responsible. I filed a police report and was told the kids they think were involved would probably never get caught and even if they did, they wouldn't have the money to fix it.
So, $1500 later, I have a new door. The dent was too large to remove. To make things worse, I had the car for 3 days, it spent 8 days in the shop, and now, 7 months later, the body shop still hasn't finished the job they started. They can't seem to get the vinyl window trim in stock (BS).
So there you go, I mind my business, park my new car in a vacant spot and this 7 month, $250 deductible ordeal still isn't resolved. This is why I'm not meant to have nice things.

My srt-4 has been vandalized numerous times. First time someone took my fog light surround bezels(unfortunately these just pop out). In so doing they burned out my silver star fog lights. Later that same month they came back and kicked my fog lights in. Effectively busting them both. Between those two incidents, someone took either a crayon or chapstick and went all the way around my car. Gentlemen, that was not easy to remove. Since then someone has scratched up the front lip of the car with God knows what. Its okay though. One day they will slip up. Then they will wish they had never done those things. Revenge is a dish best served ICE COLD.

Around 3 months after I got my 2000 vw, it was Halloween night, I parked my car on the street (driveway was taken already) woke up the next morning and the entire drivers side of the car was egged. Now the problem was it froze over night and I could not get the egg off. So I drove to work and took it to the car wash at lunch and the car wash didn't get all of the egg of either, but enough to realize that the egg had spider cracked the paint. I was pissed. Now with this thread and Halloween around the corner, I'm nervous as it is may happen again!

What did this dude have against your fog lights that he had to **** them up twice?

i totally win, one time someone s*** on the windshield of my 73 dodge dart. and it was cold, so the s*** bonded to the windshield.

I'm at work, and this post just made me loose it and bust out laughing, and everyone is looking at me all funny now.

My MSP was vandalized. Once when I was at college some drunk f*ck was leaving the parking lot and of couse was parked right next to me. I'm guessing he backed out and turned way too quickly and his bumper hit my rear driver side door. It left a big dent about the size of a dinner plate and of course there were no cameras and security didn't do anything about it. Had I actually been in my car and on at the scene at time I would've called the cops and hopefully gotten him arrested for a DUI. And this is the only reason I regret getting the MS3 because I'm sure something like this will happen again. Also this is exactly why my next car will be an old busted up clunker that I don't give a crap if it gets dented, pissed, shat, keyed, or flippin' egged on. THere's just too many db's out there who don't have respect for a damn thing.

ha pickup trucks seem to be fair game... i could handle a little trash, i found some drunks making out laying in the bed of my truck one night

You totally should have driven off acting like you didn't see them in the back. Heck, maybe even lower the tailgate and make them hold on for their dear, drunken little lives.

So far I have been pretty lucky about not receiving any vandalism. The occasional rock hitting glass on my expensive headlamps and cracking them as well as a rock hitting the windshield. I also had someone shoot a paintball at my car coming the opposite way of me, turned around and chased him, but to no avail.... But that was with my old car, I pray I never have to deal with any of these horror stories.

hindsight, yeah i def shouldve done that, but i only had the truck for a few days and i was bitter that someone was getting action in it before me! so i yelled at them and made them leave, but laughed the whole time

someone keyed my left taillight housing and dragged it until about 5inches under the back left passenger door, still need to get it fixed, fuckers.

My driver side window was busted out last night. :( I just spent 2 hours cleaning out all of the glass. Now I have to go pay $200 to have it replaced. The little bastard only stole my crappy old cell phone that I use just for my mp3 player. Then they even took the wrong charger. They took the one from my LG phone that I currently use and left the Nokia charger that would have worked on the stolen phone. Idiots.

The cleanup totally sucked! I had to take out the seat and the amp and try to get all of the glass that had fallen under the carpet through the holes by the amp bolts. Theres still some in there that I couldn't get to. :(

Well at least they didn't steal my dashhawk.

One time I was at the theatre with my ex-gf and I came out after the movie, I saw a Cavalier or Grand Am that had this white stripe all the way from the front fender all the way to the back. At first I thought it was one of those racing stripes ppl get painted on their cars, but then realized it covered the windshield. I went around to the back of the car and saw it also covered the back window and then it also had been spray painted with the words "Park like an idiot". I can't remember anymore but I think he was in two parking spots, and so was everyone else down the row.

I couldn't believe it. I felt so bad for the guy, I was just about to go in to tell security when I see the guy and his gf come out to the parking lot and get inside his car without even realizing what had happened! When he sat down and realized he could see out his front window, he got back out and flipped...

Ah comon I drive a neon with a turbo. Their was less hate on Jesus from the Romans. These cars just piss ppl off. Alot. Mainly cuz they have some douchebag drivers. I would rather the guy kicked me, than harm the car.

early january it was snowing a lot, and boise drivers don't know what to do in the snow, you would think you would learn a something considering they live in IDAHO (don't get offensive if you are from boise, i'm just saying in general, these people don't know what to do.). My 3 month old car (to me....it's an '06) was parked on the street, and my house is just after a corner. I wake up one morning and notice the plastic cover of my left taillight has a hole in it and there is a dent/3 inch scratch to the left of the rear window about halfway up.

i'm not sure this is in the right thread because it looks like an accident, but i'm still not 100% sure as to what the hell happened (so it really isn't fair for me to blame boise drivers, but i'm putting two and two together).

it's isn't horrible but it sure as hell pissed me off

I had a Tercel that was keyed. It wasn't really a junker though (looked okay - not like I detail it or anything). I'm not sure when it was keyed, but I noticed it at my school's parking lot one day. Probably there before then, who knows (again, never really kept a good eye on that car). It kinda pissed me off because I have an idea who might have done it, but I'm glad it wasn't a car i really gave a damn about. I probably should have cared - it was bought brand new and our family's first new car, but at the time it iwas keyed, it was already 5-6 years old. We treat it as basic transportation (family car) - so we'd wash it when it gets dirty, change the oil, and do basic maintenance.

I hope nothing happens to my future MS3.

i don't have pics, but several years ago, my wife took this (SORRY 'BOUT SIZE)

to a local bar that is right on a busy, well lit traffic circle. she parked it right out front and the area was very busy. well, someone managed to paint the cars out front with all kinds of strange symbols using black spray paint. the painting spanned the entire length and height of the cars- wheels, windows and all. it was so sad and she was uber upset. luckily, because the car had been treated so well in terms of polish/wax, the paint came right off with little work. some of the stuff in the crevices was a paint, but eventually it all came out with a little elbow grease.
