So here is a new thread dedicated to telling us a bit about yourself, and about your car. Its obvious we are all enthusiasts here, so show off a bit. We have some nice cars in Utah, lets see them!

I'll go.

Hello everybody. My name is Clae. That's just like Clay, but my parents thought they were being clever. Caused me nothing but problems. Anyway, I'm single (divorced 5 years) with two kids (19 and 14, boys). I was busy being a dad when I was 21, so I missed my opportunity to play with cars... until now.

I fell in love with the MSP the minute I saw the first picture, but didn't get ahold of mine until July of last year. It is stock as far as performance goes except for the ECU flash, K&N panel filter and the NGK Iridium IX plugs. I have an Injen CAI sitting on my floor waiting for nice enough weather to install it. Ok, I'll be honest... I'm waiting to grow the balls to install it. See, I'm no mechanic and auto electrical scares the hell out of me. The only thing close to a mod I ever did to a vehicle before was to install a stereo in my truck many years ago. It only worked when the headlights were on, and that's no joke. Sure, I can laugh about it now.

Future performance mods will probably be limited to an upgraded SMIC and possibly exhaust. One thing I'm looking forward to about meeting other owners is to hear what the cars sound like with different exhaust systems. This car is my only vehicle and daily driver... I don't want to make it sound like my son's 1G Talon. Good Lord!

Following instructions found on this forum, I have managed to install a boost gauge and narrow band A/F. Yeah, yeah, I know. I bought it before I even became a member of the forum so I didn't know any better. Looks pretty, though! j/k Anyway, they work fine so I'm building confidence to tackle bigger jobs. Apexi TT is also awaiting install. Oh, almost forgot the tint that's going on tomorrow.

As for me, I've been with the same company for 20 years, I watch a lot of movies, play a lot of video games, hit the gym not nearly as often as I should, and love a good dark microbrew. My CD collection ranges from Gloria Estefan to Death Cab to Rammstein. (Have a blues band I discovered in Atlanta in my deck right now) My car is a work just barely in progress and I'm excited about all the knowledge I'll gain while working on it.

About 99% sure I'll be able to miss work the day of the meet in March. Looking forward to it. See you there!

So I was trying to be the first one to post, but it didn't work out that way.
I'm Jeff, 21 years old, and engaged since february 14th of this year. NO kids, going to school full time, working 2 jobs to pay for all the crap thats on my car...

I bought my runofthemill ES sedan in July of 02 with the intent of building it for track and circuit racing. Well, that obviously is not going to happen because it costs waaaaaay too much, and i still don't have the funds to have another car be my daily driver. But i've modded it since day 1.

I started with a strut bar and a cold air intake. Then did some more suspension mods, Eibach sport springs, and tociko illumina 5 way adjustable struts. I decided my car was really slow and made the decision that i had to have a turbocharged engine. I did my research and ended up buying a used turbo kit from someone on these forums that didn't come with the turbo because he had a POS filter that fubar'd the turbo when it fell apart. I got a great deal on that, and a great deal on a turbo from MAM but never got around to installing that system.
Instead i sold it, bought a brand new system from Beau at MAM in july of 03, and it sat in my room for over a year because i kept having problems with my car. I had tranny problems, exhaust manifold problems, and a hydroplane crash that set me back a good $1000.
So finally i could install it, and then decided what would the point be if i could only run 6-7psi safely on this awesome GT28RS turbo... So i had Beau build me a motor with forged rods and pistons capable of handling anything i throw at it.
I drove my car down to him in july of 05, and got my car back in september. It was a brand new car. BUT the MPI that was controllingtiming and fuel was a major pain in the ass. It ran well when onditions were perfect, which they rarely were. I could tune it one night and it'd run great, then the next it'd run like s*** for no reason. So I decided January of this year that i couldn't stand it anymore and bought an AEM standalone, bigger injectors, a new fuel rail, and some other misc things.
Future plans are to run 14+ psi daily, get a bigger exhaust, but still keep my sleeper look. Maybe some appearance mods, and go V8 hunting :)

Well, I am Phil. I am 19 and single (if you have seen the pics posted around here, you know why)

Anyway, my only main hobby other than my car is my music. I have played the guitar for about 9 years now. I played in a few cover bands through middle school but have now been in my band for a little over 4 years. We are called three%hero. want more info on the band, go to www.myspace.com/threehero, www.purevolume.com/threehero, or www.threepercenthero.com

I have always loved cars. I used to spend my days after middle school reading about wrx's and dreaming about them. My first car was a 2004 mazda3i my dad bought me for my 18th birthday, well the day before my birthday. It was then taken from me on my 18th birthday when my dad came to Doc Hollidays where I was getting my tattoos. Shortly thereafter I ordered my 3s.

As for now, my car has -
AEM CAI
Custom 2.25 inch exhaust
20% tint
Eibach Sportline Springs
TWM STS
some interior/exterior lighting
18" HPD t/a with 225/40r18 kumho ecsta asx
GT Spec 4 pt ladder and rear lower tie braces
AWR rear motor mount

I have tons more planned, my main goal being boost. I am also in the middle of making my deck iPod ready. I have it mounted to the dash, I am just waiting for the auxmod. I think that is all about me for now!
Oh, and I work in a call center and hate every minute of it!

Im Devin, im not married but i have been with my girl for six years and have known her since the seventh grade, I have two boys one is 2 1/2 and the other is 5. I dont do much any more now that i have moved away from all my friends but that will soon change i hope. I love my mp3 even though im having problems with it, i dont have very many mods but it is faster than the cavalier z24 i had before.

list of mods

jdm catback
injen cai with k&n filter
kartboy ss
kartboy bushings
kartboy shift nob
kartboy exh hangers

Hey tphskab, tonight I got sick of the CD in my deck and decided to switch it over to radio and see what's new. I haven't listened to the radio in about a year and tonight I tune into your band on Live and Local on X96. (queue eerie Twilight Zone theme) You guys are sounding pretty good.
