maybe we could get rid of that COMPLETELY USELESS similar thread section at the bottom of each thread and list who is viewing that thread? i saw that in several other forums, and i thought that was a good idea.

sometimes you want to know if anyone is even looking at an important thread, etc.

either way, ANYTHING would be better than that other feature...or dont replace just add, i dunno.

1) that looks like JUNK with all the code all over the place

2) you have to page through 6 pages to see everyone.

I actually like the similar threads feature, because some of the time it will bring up threads that I couldn't find in a search. A lot of the time it is just silly what will come up as being similar though, so I see what you are saying.:)

I do like the idea of showing who is viewing the thread though, good thinking.

if it was all on one page it would be a larger server load. which in turn will make the site slow.

yea like this:

<table class="tborder" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" width="100%"> <thead><tr><td class="tcat" colspan="5" width="100%"> Similar Threads </td> </tr> </thead> <tbody id="collapseobj_similarthreads" style=""> <tr class="thead" align="center"> <td class="thead" width="40%">Thread</td> <td class="thead" nowrap="nowrap" width="15%">Thread Starter</td> <td class="thead" width="20%">Forum</td> <td class="thead" width="5%">Replies</td> <td class="thead" width="20%">Last Post</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="alt1" align="left">Nopi Sept 18th 2004 Registry thread.</td> <td class="alt2" nowrap="nowrap">ghostP5</td> <td class="alt1" nowrap="nowrap">Car Meets</td> <td class="alt2" align="center">66</td> <td class="alt1" align="right">09-15-2004 06:02 PM</td> </tr> </tbody> </table>

real close
