Used Greddy Evo Catback

Hello all. I got my P5 a couple of months ago, and have been lurking here for a while. I spend alot of time here that should be focused on work. Great site!

I have searched the subject, but couldn't find anything. So hopefully it hasn't been addressed before.

I found a used Greddy Evo 2 catback system on Craigs List for $100. The guy says it only needs a gasket to hook it up. Now, although I am not familiar with these systems, I know that this price is almost too good to be true!

My question is, what should I look for when I go to see it? This is in Colorado, so we get quite a bit of salt on the roads in winter. So I imagine any rust would be rather noticeable.

Thank you in advance for the help.

Look for dents, kinks, rust spots. Look for any damage that affects the position or straightness of the connection flanges. It should all be stainless steel so rust should be minimal. Shake the muffler to hear any rusted through parts banging around.
Other than that, it seems like a normal price for someone who no longer has the car and wants to get rid of it. It's a pain to ship exhausts and i'm sure P5's are not as common in colorado as trucks and subarus. Plus, I'm sure it's a few years old so it aint new.

Go for it, a muffler shop can fix anything you need for cheap.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Sounds good. I will go see it Thursday.

Luckily it is local, so I won't have to worry about shipping it.

I didn't see any P5's until I bought mine. Now they are everywhere! But not many of them yellow.
