urgent help needed - Radio

Alright, so this isnt my first go around with a HU Install...but i got a new double din head unit yesterday and went to install it...took the old HU out, put the new one in, turned the key, nothing...no power to the HU...so i thought, hmm maybe a dud??!?! put the old HU back in and it doesnt have power either *many sad faces*

I checked all related fuses so thats not an issue

and as a side note, now my keyfob doesnt work (it worked when i unlocked the car to start the install) and my trip computer isnt holding the mileage when i shut the car off

Also, my lights inside the car down work now either...the reading lights that is, nore the dome light in the back seat...

Need this resolved!!!

nvm - My stupidity caused me problems found the blown fuse - the one that handles the interior lighting and such...apparently that also kills the radio -

However, now i need to figure out how to mount this double din radio :/

if all else fails, duct tape. Audio isn't really my thing, so i'm not much help with that

in his case I would think electrical tape would work better.

Did the double din unit not come with a cage?

electrical tape does come in a plethrea of colors, but hillbilly chrome is not one of them.

When I installed mine, I had to cut away the rear radio support to make everything fit. It just depends on how deep the new unit is.

Hey not sure if you ever got that resolved...I see it's been over a month since that last post. Did you find the correct install kit for the double din HU? I found one that worked with mine at crutchfield.
