Hmm.. I think I might be joining the fuel pump upgrading bandwagon. Better stock up Ken.
they are in good supply right now
A walboro is probably the first modification i would do in a turbo car. When it comes to tuning for more boost, even when your injectors are sufficient, the factory fuel pump can cause a lean condition that makes it look like your injectors are maxed out, when really its the fuel pump that cant keep up.
I think this is what is happening to me at higher RPMs.
Yeah, and I think I lean out in the upper RPM band.
Is the problem around 5000rpm? If it is I have the same problem..
If you decide to go with the meth kit you shouldn't need to worry more about leaning out, you'll have to instead pull back fuel on the injectors right? That's what im hoping for.
Or just adjust air/fuel for gasoline to compensate... Unless you're running straight gas, methanol, etc. you're going to have to do some conversion with air/fuel ratios or lambda because they all have different stoichiometric ratios. Just saying, a wideband that outputs in lambda doesn't solve the problem, it just makes the conversion a little easier. I believe JDM Sam mentioned something along the lines of 11.9:1 being a good air/fuel ratio to shoot for for a 50/50 water/methanol injection setup.I think that is one advantage of the Alky injection. You just have to make sure you have the right wideband to tune with (has Lamda readout).

I received my pump from PG today. I opened the box expecting to find the "complete fuel pump kit" including "all drop parts, accessories and installation instructions", and an "inlet filter that meets or exceeds original equipment specifications and provides improved filtration and durability." However, all that was there was a pump in a plastic bag and some paper wadding.
Am I to take it that this pump is a direct replacement for the stock pump, right down to the wiring harness, or is my "kit" missing parts?
