upgrade prices - i/c, piping, intake

Can someone tell me from experience if these are good prices.

Spearco I/C - $500
End caps and I/C installation - $150
All plastic piping replaced with metal - $250
Aftermarket filter - $30
HKS SSBOV install - $20
3 downpipe w/ flex pipe - $350
To finish off the rest of the exhaust will be another $300 but single cat will be around $125 and aftermarket mufflers I havent priced yet.

Expect a good IC with piping to cost around $1000-1200 installed.

The downpipe should be around $200-300 (flex is $65)

What kinda intercoolers you boys been lookin at? Spearco,Blitz,HKS, and Greddy have nice sizes for our application from $300-$500. Starion, which you can pull off a DSM are around $150-$250. I am prob going with a Starion. Had a friend look at it the other day and tell me, he will do all hard piping, mount the cooler, and weld on flange and install BOV for around $500. Said the cooler would be around $200 if I got it and he would make piping and do install for around $300. Said he would even pipe the intake pipe right off the turbo, just like you see on most Hondas. He also told me, just by looking at the stock BOV, it probably spews out boost all over the place. Just letting you know my info on this situation. Since I am typing on this new Lovely 17" Flat screen computer, it will be a month or so before I get to even mess with the Speed...Later,

You might want to take a look at the space you have available in that bumper. I had a nice 20x8x2.5 that wouldn't even fit.

I have and HKS I/C which cost me 1250 total Including end tanks, and piping. If you can get everything for the I/c for 900 then it might be a good idea. Which one are you looking at?

As long as you don't cut into the 5 mph bumper you will be okay. If the shop you are having cut it for you I would think twice about the size. If you cut that your car will crumble in a crash due to no structual support in the front. Just something to think of.

Yo Dave, I hope your name is Dave! Yeah, I am keeping the 5mph bumper and support in mind. Once we take the bumper off then the story will tell its tale, until then I don't think we can even imagine what will fit. I'm not looking for a HUGE cooler, just something of higher quality than stock, and takes up the front grill. I know this will be a vast improvement on the car. I chopped a Black MSP last night by 2-3 cars and was still pullin away in 4th, just with the K&N on my car and his without...Later,

not to sound like a dick but i'm thinking something isn't right with what you said about you beating up on another MSP with just a simple air filter.you sure this other individual was racing or the car was even a Mazdaspeed? i'm not saying it couldn't happen but if your both equal drivers then something doesn't quite sound right here.
