ion, i really like your kit!!! but in the pic's it looks off center????iON Performance said:MazdaspeedNJ - FYI:
(1) our design utilizes the most direct & shortest path between the turbo compressor outlet -> I/C and I/C to throttle body.
(2) it is the largest core available to be still DOT compliant.
(3) it will allow the use of a stock P5 radiator or uprated P5 radiator.
yeah same here. i couldn't help notice it during the intercooler issue of Turbo. newb question but what's the reason for upgrading the water pump when upgrading the radiator??1FASTMP5 said:ion, i really like your kit!!! but in the pic's it looks off center????
is it just me....or is it really off center like that for a reason?
im not sure about the water pump? but the p5 radiator is bigger due to not having the msp intercooler side mounted next to it! i.e bigger radiator always can help.ricenudles said:yeah same here. i couldn't help notice it during the intercooler issue of Turbo. newb question but what's the reason for upgrading the water pump when upgrading the radiator??

Im not sure about Ions but ive heard a few guys getting 12-15 hp at the wheels. I sure notice one hell of a difference though.itz_alan said:what are the gains for both fmics? (wagner and ion)

Sorry off topic,Leonardo said:Jason94Cobra: Ya, I think I will let you take a run or two in it. And I think you are right about that CEL. The CEL elliminator has never been right since I had it installed. Problem is Apex said they would exchange it, but I have to send the bad one first, and the performance shop I go to said that they dont reccomend driving without something in there even if I am getting the CEL. I cant be without my car until APEX sends me the other one. So I guess I will have to buy another one. I just haven't yet cuz I'm stubborn and I hate paying for the same thing twice. LOL Anyway, let me know when you are going back out, I want to start going out maybe twice a month. Lemme know.
Wow! My ears are burning!!! Damn you vodapa77! Mazdaspeed0020 here is some pics of my Injen and Ion FMIC setup. The IC pipes are powdercoated to match the Injen. Only thing I added was a 3/4 hose and a straight thread fitting that is 1/2 inch (fits in the 3/4 hose fine) and hose clamps as you can see in the first picture. It's charged air from the cold side of the IC going through the bpv recirclulating back to the Injen. It's easy to add, just go to a local hardware store.vodapas77 said:Yup, with a little modification, nothing drastic. The Injen works just fine with the Ion kit. I asked Jack about it and he said it was no big thing to make it work. If you want to see pics of how it works, do a search for VegasMSP's install pics. He had the black chrome Injen and got the Ion pipes powder coated to match. Looks awesome!
i was wondering this because im trying to decide on whether i should get a smic or fmic but i heard that smic is around a 13 whp gain.. if its only 2 hp off of a fmic.. and save 400 dollars.. why not just go with the fmic? BUT, i MIGHT boost.. so i have no idea what i should do.. but then again this is all in the future.. =T hahaMazdaSpeeder00 said:Im not sure about Ions but ive heard a few guys getting 12-15 hp at the wheels.
