I would like to paint my retrofit too.. My 2 is light grey dont know if black like this would look good..

Wich kind of paint did u use ? And do anyone have color suggestion for mine ?

Black should look great because it contrasts very will with grey.

i don't, but i will get one! i removed the bulbs until my LEDs come in so i wont have one with it on for a few days.

I believe he completed his headlights in an afternoon so you should need an extra set.

Holy crap that looks amazing! What retrofit kit did you use? What did you paint the housing with? How did you remove the amber? etc. I think we all want to copy your headlights! Fantastic work!

Damn your wire from the ballast for the bulb must be 3 times longer than mine.... Did u pay an extra??

that is a link to the kit i got.

bulbs are 5000k
ballasts are 35w
shrouds are E46-R

for paint i used flat black duplicolor high heat enamel, i used the same paint for my fog light bezels. I use this because of the enamel with can withstands temps up to 500 F. duplicolor also has a fantastic spray nozzle system, and their paint is affordable. cost me $6.99 to paint both headlights and fog light bezels.

for the amber, it's just a cover over the clear reflector. I'll get some close up pics when i leave work!

i did not pay extra for longer ballast wires! I will also get pics of the entire install to show how clean everything was ran and mounted

cool i was just wondering how the turn signal would look like without the chrome reflectors if its gonna be bright enough or not. btw where did u get all ur all white light bulbs not including the headlights.
