Hey bud, check out some of the posts I've made both here and on diyma for info on this car's sound system. The head unit, which I took completely apart, doesn't really have pinouts. Instead, the face is a small computer, which talks to the main radio, which is a small computer as well. Essentially, it uses CAN-Bus technology, like the rest of the car. Actually, by law, cars must use CAN-Bus technology for 2008. My suggestion, if you'd like it, is to run a smart processor, like the RF 3sixty.2 (like I have), PPI DCX730, JL Audio Cleansweep, or the upcoming Alpine unit, or even the new JBL unit, when its available. This will keep the factory HU look, while giving an input for iPod, harddrive, etc., AND giving excellent sound quality outputs to amps and all that. My 3sixty.2 works GREAT. My problem was I didn't want to mess with the front dash's looks, nor the functionality of the display, steering controls, A/C beeps, trip computer (the one mentioned HERE), etc. The stock dash just belongs, IMO. The sound quality does not, so the processor corrects it 100%

Mod sounds fantastic. However I'm seconds from replacing my too bad not very good MP3 disabled head unit in my nonSpeed M3 with a nice aftermarket unit. Which means no CD button, etc. Anybody know the wiring or signal outs so I can simulate them with buttons, etc?
