Universal rear floor bar!

i had it for a while now. that bar actually works, it made the body more stiff and it really handles on turns alot way better. i got it from JCWHITNEY for about $120 shipped. any comment welcomed.

i hardly ever get back sit passegers, but when i do it acts like foot rest to them and i have to just keep it clean polishing it. some of my friends said its the "OH s*** BAR" you know if i ever crash, you put your head between your legs and grab on to the bar!!
hehe!

big hunk of metal that sucked away your money.

the 120 would be better spent towards springs or a rear strut bar.

of all the places the chasis is gonna flex, its not gonna be right at the door frame.

edit- i just saw you already have lowered your p5. so i'd say get a rear sway or strut bar instead of the floor bar.

in reality, since its a universal piece, i doubt it can get as tight as it needs to be inorder to reduce flex.

well i changed the title, but are you going all most $300 for the Autoexe rear strut bar, it makes a difference . thanks for your opinion though! peace!

I think myself the bar looks kind of neat. its different and different is good. but for functionality, i would have to agree with mx3. Get a real rear strut bar

I have an arospeed floor brace in my P5. It is adjustable so if you have back seat passengers it wont be in their way. I didn't notice a lot of change in stiffness, but it looks really good, and shines up nicely. peace:)

well i am going to add my 2 cents to this.
i have to agree on the functionality of the bar . it may seem to help but.............
anyway i have a nice quick fix for the protege rear strut bar that i made on mine and will post pics for you soon unless someone beats me to it
quickly ill sum it up:
your rear strut tops have a housing that holds the rear seat belt tensioner.
well i removed the belt and drilled away the to spot welds that hold the bracket in place.
from there i welded two 90 degree mandrels and a 2.25 inch bar across. looks like a roll bar and stiff as hell.
anyway gotta go thats why i didnt go into detail but i will when i get back if anyone doesnt understand:D
