Under development MSP product line

no your right you missed one, because on the ION one it has a 90 at the IC, then one about 1ft in where it turns right, then another 90 where it goes up towards the turbo, another one to go slightly right and then another 90 to connect to the turbo

I am to lazy to make a drawing :D

FMICdiagram.jpg

this drawing doesn't eliminate any bends,it just takes two of the 90's and turns them into a 180.

same flow.

either way it sounds like a good kit.I will be more interested in the manifold though.
this kit sounds identical to my current setup.

what diameter piping due you use on this kit?

Beau doesn't have access to the forum right now to make changes to the pic above, but here is the pic like its supposed to be:

he also relayed this info on piping:
from turbo to ic 2"
from tb to fender well is 2.5"

I would need to draw it in 3D to make it how I thought. No worries though, Pat posted the way that Beau is making it.

thanks,I just didn't know if you had noticed it.

but why would you make the cold side larger, the air would lose volocity, because it is forced from a small dia, when hot,to a larger dia when it is cold, and we all know cold air is denser.

one more
one the manifold did he take time to make it equal lengh?

if it's not then it will still flow better then stock, but the waves from each cylender can colide causeing more lag(from my understanding),even if it's not it WILL out perform the OE cast, but it won't be as "tuned" as it could be for the price it is.

anything aswered would be nice,I am very interested in getting the mani.

The 4-1 pyramid will keep the pulses constructive. The pipes look equal length to me, but I am not 100% on that.

it's not wether they are contructive or not,it's more of haveing two or more pulses trying to go through the collecter at the same time that can have the worst effects.

The manifold is not completely 100% equal length.1,2 and 3 runners are equal while #4 is 1/2" shorter than the rest. The idea of a " Tuned " header does not apply in turbo manifolds.A tuned header is design to scavange. The 4-1 pryamid collector helps create exhaust pulse velocity. The pyramid inside the collector points the exhaust gases right into the turbo. It's not an open collector where 2 gases(from seperate runners) are colliding.

thanks, thats why I brought it up,cause I knew it it was on your mind when you built it.I just didn't knew how you went about it.=)

Cool stuff Beau!

Thanks for the updates and the informative education on flow and stuff. :)
