Uncalled for!

Eh, it's not like I'm some teenager.

Yeah but if the guy was like 40+, there's no difference between a teenager and a 25 year old.. they're both troublemaking children.

Age discrimination is hilarious.. I don't even want to get into how many times I've started inquiries with the anti-discrimination agencies in Rochester (fair housing, bbb, etc)

Dang Dana you just didn't have a good week so far have you?!
Rough couple of days man. I can't catch a break. :/

The hilarity of all of this is that I was looking for a corrugated pipe that I could use for an EGR in the future, so I didn't have to deal with what I went through yesterday.

Your situation shouldn't be funny, but it is. It's like you're in opposite world. Maybe they didn't like the scruffy beard...

Screw phone tag. Go in there on a Saturday, when the place is good and busy, and get loud. Cause a scene and demand a manager. Their tune will change in front of other customers.

Are you kidding me with a photo like that I would of followed you around the store too. I can care less if you are in a polo or a suite. :D

J/K man.

I would of stayed around even longer just to piss them off.

Of couse I am asian so no one thinks I'd do anything bad... Little did they know.

stop hitting up the tanning salon. stay indoors for a while until you regain full snow bunny skin tone

i can sit in the sun for the short Minnesota summer and the first sign of snow i disappear with my blond hair and such :) lol

Crazy. But these things happen. You're already doing the best thing -- writing in a complaint, and bringing your business elsewhere (if they don't own up & apologize; I am assuming that if given a proper apology and the assurance that those involved were disciplined, you would at least reconsider going back there in the future).

I've had similar things happen to me before, and it's ridiculous. Of course, even though I am turning 26 next month, I look like I'm 16, so I get lumped in with the stereotypical teenager who has no respect for anything and shoplifts. But either way it is uncalled for.

Good luck with the complaint. If you hear nothing from the store manager, be sure to take it to the next level. Finding out the info for the regional / district office is easy -- and of course mention the fact that the store employees refused to give you said info.

BBB dosent do s*** in a situation like that you will not get much of anything besides a aplogy.

I agree with that one guy and go back there when they are bussy and make a rucus or rob em blind.

If I am unhappy with a place I will usually go up to the nearist camera and have a nice jesture filled talk with it.

my advice (as I worked in retail for a LOOOONNNNGGGG time)

go in and POLITELY (as hard as that may be) to see the store manager, if he/she isnt available be sure to ask for the manager on duty. (make sure to go in on a saturday/busy day so you dont get hawked or picked out again and treated roughly).

if they ask you what it is in reference to - politely tell them no. They do not have any reason to know why it is you wish to speak to the manager. once the manager arrives, tell your story.

Writing letters in my experience gets no where unless its written to district/corporate offices. Also try to find the # to the district manager, better yet, call another store in the area to get the info if the one you were @ was uncooperative.

Make sure you explain how your phonecalls went, if youre lucky they were recorded.

DO NOT:

Go in and steal (although I dont think youd do this :p) as a way to get back

or

Go in and cause a scene, youll only make it worse and make yourself look like an asshole. The idea is to make them feel like shitheads and the only way to do so is to keep your cool.

If they suspect a theft, I dont blame them for watching (regardless of how right/wrong it is) but was uncalled for for them to escalate the situation in person - but what was the guy thinking (was he afraid or did you yell? I dont know which is why Im askin... if he felt threatened maybe)? also, from the sounds of it, the phone call was EXTREMELY uncalled for and rediculous. There is no store in existence where you are not authorized to give a first name, district info, or atleast get a manager (that I know of). Sounds like whoever was in the wrong didnt want to be accused of something or get in trouble.

thats my 2 cents..

Have gay porn mags sent to the store address, ATTN: Bruce and ATTN: Steve. A guy at a former place of employment pissed me off really bad once and I had all kinds of filth sent to his neighbors address, but with his name on it. I was younger then, and wouldn't do it now, but it still makes me laugh when I think about it. Man, that guy was a dick.

We're considering organizing a flash mob.
