Sorry to bring back an old thread, but I am in the UK and have just bought this liner the posters in this thread have lusted over. (The one linked in the original post)
I had high hopes.
Sadly, it's a bit "pants" - As we say here in the UK.
Before I picked it up from the dealer I had visions of it being made of high quality rubberised plastic, with seamless hinging as the seats are lifted or lowered.
First thing I noticed when I picked it up, is that it's a fairly plasticky, thin and rigid affair.
Next let down is fitting it. Now, I don't know about you, but if I've spent this much money on a lump of plastic, I expect it to come fully moulded and ready to go. It isn't. You have to take a pair of scissors to it. This is to not only cut the holes out where the seat tethers go, but also to get it to fit around the rear door and brace holder. You then have to stick on these rather cheap Velcro stickies to attach it to the boot/trunk floor carpet.
Next problem is that it doesn't actually come pre cut to allow the rear seats to fold independently of each other. There is a large scissor icon down the middle, suggesting that you might want to get them out to do that. So I cut a rather jagged line down the middle. As the plastic is fairly hard, even with decent chunky scissors, the plastic kind of cracks and creases as you cut. Lovely.
Next problem is that it doesn't actually fold well when putting the seats up. It kind of awkwardly flops about, and needs a little guidance to sit correctly. And the worst part is that with the rear seats up, the main fold sticks outward - massively eating into the modest space that there is with the seats up.
Even with the rear most seats down, it isn't the best fit; the rear lip, although useful in protecting the threshold, just doesn't look right. It kind of sticks up.
It just doesn't feel like a 1st party Mazda piece of kit. If it wasn't for the logo, you would think it was very average aftermarket slightly failed attempt at a liner.
If you are in the US and thinking of importing it, give it a miss.
I will try and post some photos.
