I was just wondering if there is any difference between the unorthadox u/d pulley and the rr-racing one?

get the rr racing. i've read that the unorthodox one has problems w/ timing. i have the rr racing and love it

I have the Unothodox Racing pulley. No issues. 6 months and probably close to 8,000 miles.

I have Unorthodox, works fine. The issues were because people were not aligning the teeth correctly on install.

the teeth dont move. it is attached to the pulley. the problem is that on some of the pulleys the gap is in the wrong place. they may have fixed it on their new ones, not sure. the rr-racing is cheaper anyway. i got mine for 105 shipped

My Unorthodox pully sure looks like it's two pieces. The teeth can be unbolted from the pully and rotated.

I have the unorthodox & it has 3 bolts that bolt the teeth part to the pulley itself. It matters where the gap is in relation to the only way the pulley fits on the crank. If it's not right then the timing is ******. All you have to do is mimick the gap location on the oem & all is good. That's the problem "people" were having with these. It was not the "motor" having a problem with it when installed correctly.

you can still get the rr racing for 105 dollars...and dont have to worry about lining it up right because it's all one piece.

i have rr-racing one, not installed but will in the next 2-3 weeks, never installed a pulley in ma life b4 so i'll let you kno how it goes...

I've had the ur pulley for 4 yrs, not a single issue when installed properly. As mentioned, the problem is the person installing it, not the pulley.

The problem is that they dont tell you that you may need to adjust the toothed plate before installation. So your saying that its my fault that I ran into a few problems and had to do the installation twice? You don't think that it could possibly be the fact that the manufacturer doesn't make the consumers aware of this or maybe the fact that there is a step missing in the installation instructions? I guess im the one that screwed up then. Pulley works just fine once installed correctly though.

i just got the rr racing one b/c it was only 105.

i think i need to retighten my belts. been about 500 miles and occasionally on damp nights they squeal until i get goin and warmed up

I have about 6k on mine and I have had to tighten the belts atleast twice after the first day of installing. I think they are done streching now though because im not hearing anything anymore. What belts are you using?

gatorbacks.

it only does it at night when i leave work. and it isnt all the time either. like once a week or so.

thats what i have as well and mine would do it in the mornings when it was humid out and it would squeel really loud untill i got up to about 30mph and it went away for the rest of the day, but i tightened them again and there just fine now

yeap same thing here. it does it til i am almost into third gear. i just dont know which to tighten. and not having anywhere to jack the car up doesnt help. parking lot not a good idea. ggrrr

I just jacked mine up in the driveway to loosen the alt bolt. The adjuster can be reached from up top.

i just installed my rr racing pulley and i got a problem... there's a ticking noise coming from/around crank pulley... what could it be guys???

Not sure, There is a plastic cover nearby that the unorthodox directions say to make sure the pully isn't rubbing against. Any free trimming is probably already done by now tho.
