tyre problem.... pls help

Is it normal that I have to put pressure in my tyres every two weeks? The car is in the garage most of the time except during weekends (my weekend baby)
I've also noticed that the rear tyres are seemingly harder than the front ones.. meaning that the front tyres are losing pressure quicker than the rear ones (??)
Is it because the car doesn't drive enough.. and the tyres hence deflate quicker... does that make sense?
Can anyone help me solve this mystery? or is there something wrong with my tyres?
Do you guys stick to the recommended PSI for your tyres or do you put more??
Any advice on proper tyre maintenance would be appreciated.

Cheers!

it depends what year your car is and stuff...if it never gets driven and just sits around for the most part, your tires could be dry rotting

well prolly not if its that new, but when tires dry rot they get little cracks and they turn a lighter color...

what psi do they go down to? What psi are you filling them to?

You should not have to adjust them often. I check mine about 1 a month and they are usually with in 2psi.

the fronts have more weight on them so the will lose air faster than the rears. Every 2 weeks seems like a lot though

Hey Gunners!! So u have a slow air leak problem!! Well I do work in a tire shop so the problem might be a few things!! U could have a puncture, or the valve may have a slow leak, and or the tire bead may not have set properly cuasing the tire to leak!

when i first got the car i noticed the tire pressure was going down faster than i thought it should.

but now after a while it goes down maybe .5 psi every 600-1000 miles/ 1month, not really sure but jsut from casual observation.

I'll have the tyres checked this weekend
There's a Bridgestone tire shop near to where I live

Cheers

I thought the English and the Ozzies spell it tyres...Just like us Canadians spelt colour with the U...I think we had this conversation before!
